Brown color with a clear aspect. It made a two fingers of off-white head with medium retention and always leaving a lace.
As expected aroma of smoked malts.
This beer is at the same time quite refreshing despite of a clear smoked malty flavor with hints of biscuit and wood. It gives a nice spicy sensation. Aftertaste is quite dry with its residual lingering taste.
A Rauchbier with a high drinkability, and nice for all wheathers.

350ml bottle served in a Weizen.
First of all, a 5.2% ABV beer and not 4.8% as stated in the beer description.
A: Nice bottle art, first of all. Simple but attractive. The beer pours a deep amber to brown color (nutty) forming a medium white fizzy head with low retention. Only few lacings are left. Lighter in color than a German Rauchbier usually is
S: Smoky :) ... Deliciously smoked. Toffee. Sweet and roasted malts. Bread. Yeasts
T: Smoked malts, roasted malts, yeasts. Upfront is slightly sweet. Toffee. In overall a dry and tasty beer. End is roasted bitterness
M: Less bodied than a German Rauchbier usually is. Body is watery and light. Medium carbonation
O: Excellent drinkability. One of the best Brazilian beers I've ever tasted

A- This beer pours a slightly hazy deep dark copper body with a thin bubbly film of a head that sticks to the glass a bit after each sip before slowly sliding back onto the beer.
S- The aroma of bacon smoke blends with brown malt with no band-aid character but a bit of a fishy quality to the smoke grows as the beer opens.
T- The mellow smoke flavor has a light band-aid hint but it is not offensive and a mellow dark toffee malt flavor to follow. Just a touch of smoke/malt hint lingers but it is a pretty clean finish.
M- The light mouthfeel has a gentle fizz and no alcohol heat noticed.
O- The crisp clean brown malt beer has a unique smoke flavor with just a touch of band-aid and the malt sweetness fades a bit as it opens making it a bit to dry.

355 mL bottle, thanks to DoubleJ,
A: Pours brown with a soft off-white head, average retention, spotty lace.
S: Smells the part, more of a jerky smell than bacon, some teriyaki sauce in there.
T: Dark brown bread, with a mild hint of smoke, with a bit of an acrid finish, not too integrated.
M: Medium-bodied, strong carbonic acid and carbonation.
D: It's not too often you get to try a new rauchbier so I was excited. Unfortunately this one was quite disjointed, not bad flavours, just nothing interesting.

I have had two Bamberg beers (the brewery, not the city) up to this point, but its rauchbier is the one I've been seeking out. Saw it on the menu at Frangó, and I went for it. 355 ml bottle, on to the beer:
Dark brown color, almost black. The head is bone white, which helps make this beer look good. The aroma is very smoky, but not too intense. Smoked ham and bacon are most noticable. Taste....oh yeah, more smoke. It's a sweet hickory smoke. Unsweetened chocolate makes this beer make interesting and complex. It seems to get sweeter as it warms. The smoke becomes less intense, but the notes of cured meats are there. The aftertaste leaves a slight smokey taste in the mouth.
The city of Bamberg is known for its rauchbiers, so how appropriate was it I had a rauchbier from a microbrewery called Bamberg? I'm finding this Brazilian brewery to be to my liking.
