Visited New York Pizza as a side trip on the way to Foxwoods to see Jane's Addiction. This is primarily a local pizza joint - at least that is the vibe I got because the serving staff seemed to know many of the customers. I believe there is a separate lounge area; however, we stayed in the dining room which was comprised of several booths and small tables. The service was very friendly and attentive and the Margherita pizza was superb - one of the best white pizzas I've ever had. Tap list was solid, albeit two were kicked (BBC Czech Pils & Hoegaarden) and had not been replaced; however, the line-up was pretty solid - Founders Red's Rye, BBC Hefeweizen, SN Bigfoot, SN Tumbler, Ommegang Rare Vos, Longtrail IPA, Sebago Frye's Leap, Six Point Crisp, SA Fat Jack, Flying Dog Pearl Necklace, DFH Sahtea. All said and done, we had an 18" pizza, a beer and a half (I did a Red's Rye and half pour of Bigfoot) and a soft drink and we walked out at a cost of about $30, including tip. I wouldn't necessarily go out my way to visit; however, North East Wine & Spirits is about a 10 minute drive away, which makes it all worth it. Check back often as it seems they have tap takeovers quite frequently.

Good food for a pizza place and a decent beer selection. The staff is very friendly, and I enjoy the overall crowd that frequents this restaurant, which is one of the main reasons I keep going. My only gripe is that of short pours. I typically receive around 12 oz in my pint glass, and have seen as low as 11, which is pretty bad. Thats 25-30% less than what you are paying for. I've mentioned it a few times and the feedback was not well received. Overall a good place, I just wish they would give you a pint when you pay for one. What a shame. . . . . .

I loved going to NYPizzaCo before it had the beer selection that it does today. The food is amazing! Well, I guess all I can say is the pizza is amazing because it's so good we have never ordered anything else besides the pizza. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about but just a typical pizza joint. The service can be a bit slow but it's usually pretty good.

As of about a year or so ago the beer selection has been amazing with tons of micros on tap including some limited offerings. I was just there last Friday night and they had New England Brewing Gandhi-Bot, Imperial Stout Trooper, 668, a cask of Sea Had dryhopped with Citra and Life & Limb all on tap at the same time!!! The beer list changes very frequently with taps constantly rotating. On top of draft beer they have quite a large bottle selection but I usually stick with draft because of the great selection on tap and when I go out I prefer draft beer.

Finally got to try this place out after hearing how good the beer selection was. It is a cool little place. The waitress was really nice and attentive. The beer selection was very good, especially for this part of CT. They had Cuvee de Cardoz and Buzz Bomb on at the same time. I didn't think there was any Cardoz left anywhere...nice surprize !
The pizza was pretty good, although they could back off a bit on the garlic in their red sauce...that's just my taste.
Overall, a place I would frequent if I lived nearby.
Funny that there are tap handles on the walls, but all taps at the bar were plain black.

A- Bar side is nice, has sport memorabilia on walls. A lot of boxing stuff and old baseball pics.

Q-The building is nice and new, the wait staff is nice.

S- Good service, I was surprised how much the bartender knew about the brews they had.

S-One of the best selections of drafts in Plainfield, but there's not too much competition. Mostly well know micro brews, wish they had some of the harder to find beers.

F-Average Italian food, good bar food. Pizza used to be great, but i think they have changed the recipe in recent years, still pretty good.

V-They have some good values

The closest place in the area to grab a couple good brews. Great food. Service is a bit slow sometimes but pretty good overall. Some of the staff are really clueless on some of the brews they sell. Twenty one taps ( I believe) and a decent selection of bottles. Lot's of imports that don't seem to move. Draft brews seem to rotate pretty regularly. Wish the bottles would rotate more often. Prices are quite out of whack. I've seen some decent Russian Imperial Stouts go for less than a Kolsch. A pretty good place overall for the area.

This is my local, and up here in North Eastern CT, we've got slim pickins when it comes to beer bars. NY Pizza has 21 draft lines and about 80 or so bottles.Good selection, few different ipa's some stouts, some porters, few belgians, and a couple of germans. With the large number of bottles they offer it would be cool if they had a bigger selection of styles, there is like 10-15 Euro-Mexican-American lagers in bottles and a shit ton of fruity wheat beers on tap, so a little more variety in genres wouldn't hurt. They do take suggestions though, but at the same time don't quite get it, ex: serving barleywines and imperial stouts in pints and charging the same price as pilsners and pale ales. Overall, I love this place, the food is top notch, from seafood to italian to specialty pizzas this place rocks it the fuck out, but the area it is in makes it tough to be a top notch beer bar, it seems we are a couple of years behind up here but it is getting there. For the area this place is a solid A place to go, but overall it's not quite there.
