A: Poured into a La Trappe glass. A beautiful hazy copperbrown color. Very tiny white head but with a nice lacing that lasts until the end.
S: Roasted malts, toffee, banana and a pinch of red fruits. Though not a very strong smell.
T: Very well defined taste. That's how I like it. In short, all flavors mentioned at smell are tasted in this beer. Stronger than the faint smell suggests. Slightly alcoholic but not disturbing in any way.
M: Creamy taste. Medium carbonation. Finish is sweet with a slight bitterness.
D: Great beer. This one is in leaugue with Rochefort and St. Bernardus in my humble opinion. I heard that it also ages very well, so I stocked some bottles of it. I will tell you in 5 years... unless I manage to convince RvDoorn to come up with one of his secret treasure....
