From the corked, caged 750 ml. bottle stamped 12:12-K02D13. Sampled on February 24, 2014.
This has been sitting in my cellar for five months so I thought it was about time to break it out. It pours a copper-amber color with a tan head but there are many sedimentary remnants floating around the glass. That in itself appeals to me.
The aroma is a kind of dark cherry or dark fruit character intertwined with dark malts and Abbey yeast. Low alcohol and hop profile.
Medium to mostly full body. But it does tend to feel rather carbonated or acidic in texture.
The taste begins with a tart, dark fruity note and a searing bitterness at the end. But it is not a pucker-up bite. It just drills its way into the sensation and lingers briefly. The booze is a bit more forward in the taste than on the nose. It's a Quad and it is meant to have some punch.

13oz draft pour at bier markt mississauga
a: deep orange/amber hue with half a finger of head
s: huge banana and vanilla up front, great stuff. hints of maraschino cherries. alcohol is present
t: a melange of bananas, maraschino cherries, and vanilla to begin with. it's sweet all around but not offensively so. nice! but what i dislike here is the alcohol presence -- it's rather strong and makes the entire tasting feel medicinal. light spice on the back-end. dry finish
m: medium body, medium carbonation
o: this beer has a lovely aroma but the flavours are all ruined by the alcohol strength
Serving type: on-tap

Summer night in Sweden with a 750 ml bottle in the garden. This is love.
Do think the big bottle has much more taste and nose
If you want this and if you are in Scandinavia do make a stop in Denmark were the price is "very low" ~ 5 USD at most supermarkets.
