330ml bottle from Beers of Europe website (£1.89):
Slightly cloudy yellow to golden with a large, foamy white head that looks quite thick and holds well. Plenty of visible evidence of carbonation and some lacing left on the sides of the glass too.

Light spice then some citrus notes, there is a touch of lemon and a hint of coriander as well. I could detect some cloves, wheat & some refreshing fruits that seem almost tropical but these are faint.

Citrus with a mainly lemon zest taste to begin, there is some banana and a little clove too. A definite witbier taste with some light coriander and hints of spice and orange with a mix of various fruits towards the end.

Well carbonated with a citrus tang that is quite refreshing on top of a light body. The high carbonation takes a little away from the smoothness but the beer is an easy one to drink.

Not a bad witbier at all and very close to what I was expecting before opening the bottle. The taste features all the regulars for the style and the the balance is a nice one with no one flavour dominating proceedings.

Hey! This is good stuff! My partner (bless her) bought some at the supermarket the other day, knowing I like "trappist" style beers. I didn't have the heart to tell her I don't really go for white beers.

Turns out I am a prejudiced boob. This really is very good. Clean, clear, fresh - I really like it.

I think you will too - give it a try.

On-tap at the Brick Store.

Pours a hazy lemon-yellow color with a fine white head that leaves thick lacing.

Smells of light malts with good amounts of wheat twang and light citrus. Also present are very slight hints of indistinct spices.

Tastes more robust than it smells. Crisp light malts up front are joined by slight amounts of breadiness and heavier light citrus – orange with hints of lemon rind. Midway through slight spices dry things out a bit, fading out into a crisp ending. Mouthfeel is good, with smooth carbonation.

Overall this beer was a bit of a letdown, it wasn’t as well-balanced and robust as I’d hoped. Still, a solid beer for the warmer months.

The beer poured a clear, golden color with a vigourous head and nice bubbles rounding to the top. The nose was wheaty, yeasty and had nice citrus character. The taste is a refreshing light wheat taste, with citrus and a hop character that rounds this out well.

A bit sour and satisfying. Yeasty and orange and apples aroma.
Hazy white with an orange tint. Mid-sip coriander spice. Medium wheat grain and creme mouthfeel.
Another bottle a couple of years later and observed zesty carbonation.
A year later the bubble gum aroma.

On-tap at Blue Palms Brewhouse - sad I missed meeting the brewery rep the day before, still happy to get to try this. Served in a generic tulip.

Lightly hazy pale straw liquid with a creamy finger of ivory foam. Excellent retention and pleasant gentle lacing.

Biscuits, pale malt, and light yeast aromatics with a touch of wheat. Faint esters, though I can't place any fruit in particular.

Mild lactic tartness, hints of pear, bread dough, rice crackers and faint lemon on the palate. A whisper of hops lead into a tart then dry finish. Nicely balanced over all.

Well carbonated with mild effervesence - smooth and a bit milky - just a touch thin, but very refreshing.

Tart, bready, and straight-forward, this is a flawless if restrained example of the style.

Pours a bit more transparent than I was expecting, very light for a witbier. Thin white head. Very slippery lacings.

Great big bubblegum aroma with just a touch of lemon.

Carbonation brings the zesty bitterness to the front. Gradually mellows. Coriander to banana to bubblegum. A nice bit of yeast that is almost Hefe-like. Nice dry finish.

A bit too carbonated for my liking. I enjoy creamy wits, this one is quite spritsy.

exp: Jan 2013

A: Translucent yellow, a hair dull, basically no head, mild rising carbonation.
S: Citrusy pineapple yeast. Sitting between sweet and savory.
T: Not sweet, could use a bit more sweetness. A mildly bitter witbier, which is a little odd. But still nice. Almost piney. Nice medium flavor.
M: Mild dry sting.
O: Pretty nice, but certainly different. Worthy

On-tap at The Farmhouse in Emmaus, PA for $8. Served in a large snifter, the wit is hazy straw yellow with a white head. The aroma is weak until the beer warms up, but when it does, the smell is akin to sticking your rose in a bunch of roses. It's almost bizarre how much this smells like flowers, down to the earthy (dirt) undertones. The flavor is a smooth, but too subtle, mix of soft wheat bread and soapy floral spice. Not my favorite white ale, but well-made and worth trying.

On tap at the Cheeky Monk in Denver.

A - Great hazy orangish-blond appearance with a huge, lasting creamy white head and great lacing.

S - Wheat, yeast, citrus, banana, and coriander.

T - Pale malt and wheat, yeast, coriander and other spices, orange peel, banana, and clove. A bit sweet, but not too much.

M/D - Palate is smooth and fairly light with soft carbonation. High drinkability. Overall a great witbier!

When the bottle is opened and you start to pour the beer into the glass, a very strong citrus smell is noticeable. It pours out a foggy gold, not white, beer. The beer has a strong mint, pepper/spices and citric odour. The taste also releases that citric taste along with hop and malt. The aftertaste could be described like eating overcooked potatoes with a lemon sauce. A very dry and citric aftertaste. Overall not a superb beer, but very refreshing during the hot summer months.

Pours a hazy lemon into a wine glass from a 330 ml. bottle. Offers a nice half inch cap of white foam, good retention and sticky lace.

Spicy wheat aroma with a bit of lemony hop, touch of graininess and clove spice. Somewhat light but well balanced and pleasant with a good yeast presence.

Taste of wheat with coriander and pepper and supported with a firm carbonation level. Notes of lemon return on the finish. Feel is spritzy and offers a hint of sweetness initially, segueing to a more bready lemon and spice feel. Overall a solid offering and quite drinkable, lacking a bit in depth only on the taste, but solid aroma and feel.
