Very plain but nice and refreshing. Standard witbier, lemons & bananas with high carbonation, similar to Hoegaarden, Blanche de Namur and Blue Moon.

Pours a light straw yellow with a huge puffy cloud of a head. Active carbonation and a slight haze from the yeast kicked into the beer. The aroma is phenolic and has plenty of wheat, pie crust, herbal hop, and the distinct La Trappe yeast strain.

The taste has all the aforementioned spicy wheat elements, some dry grains, rustic Trappist yeast, cracker, lemongrass, noble hops. A sophisticated Witbier, this is clean and dry, perfectly crisp and carries the wheat and expressive yeast flavor. The yeast has a slight funk and spice to it which really works with the dry, dusty wheat character. Full bodied, crisp and lively.

Witbier does not get a whole lot cleaner or better than this. Bright flavor and almost champagne like with the carbonation and overall crisp nature of the beer. This would be great to pair with pumpernickel bread, grlled meat and/or seafood.

12oz glass at Beer Revolution YEG.

This beer appears a cloudy, very pale golden straw colour, with one thick finger of puffy, loosely foamy, and yet somewhat creamy chalk-white head, which leaves some stellar pockmarked lace around the glass as it quickly blows off.

It smells of bready, crackery pale malt, mixed orchard drupe fruit, mildly acrid yeast, lemon peel, and a prickly floral herbal bitterness. The taste is gritty, grainy pale malt, a bit of candy sugar, edgy yeast, muddled white fruit, and a soft lemon cleaner alcohol astringency.

The carbonation is pretty low intensity, and mostly just plainly frothy, the body medium-light in weight, and generally smooth. It finishes off-dry, the generic fruitiness running out the clock with the lingering malt and wan spiciness.

I hate to say it, but this is a bit of an underwhelming affair, the various components all present and accounted for, but not really standing out. Easy to drink, sure, however - far from memorable.

A one of a kind wheat beer brewed by Monks in Holland! Pours a bright yellow haze, with a thick frothy white head that bubbled like champagne.
The aroma was like a sweet bouquet of fresh flowers combined with hints of lemon zest.
At 5.5% the taste was very light, consisting of of a tart lemon barley like flavour that evened itself out with a delicate finish of toasted bread.
Overall, a lovely thirst quenching beer that goes down a treat. Although The Froth Doctor prefers his wheat beers dominated by the exciting flavours of herbs & fruit.
