500ml bottle poured into an Orval goblet.
Slight hazy amber color with rather small foamy white head, short retention, it dissipates to small bubble film covering with slight lacings.
The smell is mingled by sweet malt, caramel, candy sugar, yeast, aromatic floral hop which is also slight herbal, hint of fruity scent.
Simple but delicately balance and very good; fruity ester from yeast, sweetness from caramel malt and candy sugar, vague hop bitterness, some bread note, all these portions blend well together and make truly inviting flavor.
Moderate body, smooth mouth feel with well suit carbonation and fine crispness in its body.
All round balance, it keeps steady character and persistent pace throughout the drinking journey. This is something I can savor all night long. Maybe simple is the best.

A: Small stubborn head. High effervescence. Golden colour.
S: Medium intensity. Beautiful perfumy aroma of bubblegum, roses, clove and banana. No hop character.
T: Taste is of medium intensity. Strong clove notes upfront but not shadowing of other expected aromatics like banana and bubblegum.
M: Low bitterness. Finishes sweet-ish. Very high carbonation. Soapy texture. Medium to medium full body.
O: An agreeable blonde with a sophisticated aroma but questionable texture and average taste.

On-tap. La Trappe Tasting chalice glass. Bright golden color, clear appearance. White froth, close crown showing modest retention. Aromas of Belgian yeast, pale malts & floral notes, hints of bread, slight citric, alcohol, nectar & hops to the nose. Gentle & crispy upfront displays delicate citric, spiced & brown sugar flavors rounded by fruity touches. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Dense texture, light spicy & sparkling palate. Low hoppiness & phenolic hues in the middle. Sweet/soft bitter finish lingers into the aftertaste. Easy drinkable & refreshing despite of being a real Belgish Blond one.
