Just bought seven 330 ml bottles that were just past their best before date.
Served at close to room temperature in a deletrium tremens snifter.
A: Pours a hazy dark orange with a massive fluffy off-white head. Leaves tons of lacing down the glass.
S: Smell is pretty subdued. Lots of yeast, sweet vanilla, and a hint of citrus.
T: Taste is super smooth. No hint of alcohol at all. Don't know if its the aging but taste is mostly malty goodness, with hints of spice and a gentle kick of bitterness at the end.
M: Again, mouthfeel is smooth. Medium body with light to medium carbonation and a lingering mouthfeel.
D: Extremely mellow, I am assuming because of the aging. I quite like the mellowness and think it makes for a very drinkable tripel.
