On tap at Rattlen Hum, NYC. Not much under the nose or on the side of the glass but that's all cosmetic. The taste is just fine. None too sweet as some triples can be.

The nose is big fruit, some earthiness, and ripe large pitted fruit over dark sugars.
the beer pours copper tinted amber with a 2” off-white moussey foam cap that slowly recedes but rouses easily and produces Belgian window lace.
Big fruit flavors such as peach, grape and a hint of sherry supported by a light earthiness drive the palate, this is a yeast driven beer with balance towards the yeast driven fruit flavors more than the malt. The malt comes across like a light biscuit one might spread with a fruity marmalade with a light bitterness from the fruit rind. It shows up as a very light caramel in the aftertaste.
In this very creamy beer the carbonation is a little above average and the body is just a hair below.

0.75l corked bottle.
Poured into tulip.
Hazy amber beer with off-white head, good retention.
Smell - biscuity yeasts, figs, apples, coriander.
Flavour - warming, excellent yeasts followed by some coriander and bitterness.
Full-bodied and solid tripel.

A – Golden amber in colour and a little hazy although it has been in the cellar for 5 days now. Like the Dubbel from La Trappe this one raised a fizzy head like a cola would do and again like a cola it died instantly but this time there was a lacy cover left in the glass and as a result some very fine lacing.

S – Biscuit and bready smells dominate this one there is also typical sweet caramel tones along with some odd herby smells I cannot put my finger on.

T – Sweet malts and biscuit bready flavours dominate just like the nose. Again there is plenty of brown sugar/candy taste to this. There is a slightly bitter citrus hop edge here as well and finally the herb smell makes sense as I can now clearly taste coriander. There is also a little solvent nudge at the front end of the tongue.

MF – A lot of busy carbon and a full feeling along with a good linger.
O – This one is only so, so. It is not bad by any stretch of the imagination but it is not the best Triple coming out of the Netherlands. That said it is still a lot better than many Triples from Belgium and so it deserves more than an average score.
