Amber copper color with a thin off-white head with medium retention and leaving laces.
Very light aroma for the style with hints of red fruits and caramels.
Flavor with notes of toasted malts, nice spices, floral hops, hints of red fruits and bubblegum. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Light towards medium body with appropriate carbonation.
Easy to drink Scottish Ale, it has good spices and hops but misses the usual fruitiness for the style. (439 characters)

This amber ale produced a thin head and a nice balanced citrus, malt nose. Some of those same characters come through in the flavour, unfortunately they disappear fast. I had trouble picking out some of the flavours they went away so fast. I asked another person in the bar I was at they had the same problem. It was too bad the nose drew me in but the palate wasn't there. (373 characters)

From BeerAdvocate magazine Issue #59 (December 2011):

LOOK: Lively honey amber, creamy head

SMELL: Malty, sugar, caramel, soft herbal, gum

TASTE: Creamy, sweet, bready, toasty, notes of toffee, honey, maple and dates, hay, dry gummy finish

A Scottish-inspired ale from Mexico. Fairly tasty with a burst of complex sweetness up front. But unfortunately, it’s short-lived, as the beer dries up very quickly and is very light on the palate. We’d like to see a bit more malt backbone and linger. Regardless, an OK brew with decent drinkability coming from what many call a craft beer wasteland. (598 characters)

Amber orange color with some red highlights. Creamy foam cap with great stick and respectable lacing. Pretty good look, although I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting. Aromas of pale grain, toffee, and something…red.

The flavor is not as strong as I was hoping for out of Special Reserve (not sure what this would be reserved for) but it's got a decent body, on the light side, with high carbonation. Buttery notes throughout the middle, finishes with a pinprick of herbs amid a toffee background. Peppery alcohol notes linger on the tongue.

Light but decent, give it a shot if you're in Mexican Macro territory and this is available - pretty much my go-to advice for Tempus in general. (697 characters)

Thanks to luisfransico for this!

Pours a maple/dark amber color, with a light colored head, maybe a finger, but it didn't stick around for too long. Fruity esters, and a rich maltiness are the predominant aromas. Slightly fruit taste, along with more rich malts again in the taste. Not bad, but far from dynamic. Feels a bit thin and slightly stingy carbonation wise, but drinkability is not bad. In the end, there's nothing bad about it, but there's nothing that really stands out either, so it's just an average Scottish Ale. That said though, it's exciting to see where Mexican craft beer is headed. (603 characters)

From a 12oz bottle; label has a "Craft Beer" stamp in the middle so I decided to give it a try.
I've had amazing experiences with Scottish Ale, this one was quite different, it seems to be more like a strong Amber Ale..

It has a maple color, light body and low carbonation.
Has a dry fruity after taste with almost no head when serving.

Label also has a Extra Premium statement on the side, and comparing this to other mexican brands for sure this is one.

Enjoy this one with a seafood dish.

Overall Im not impressed about this beer but focusing on the mexican market Ill say this is a great beer to enjoy if your are at Mexico D.F. (646 characters)
