This is a very clean, modern, and inviting country store. I was impressed with the beer knowledge of the staff (Zach, in particular), and their selection is just as good as - if not better than - anything on the seacoast. Also one of the few places that currently carries White Birch, and they were the first shop I found in NH to carry the latest Harpoon Leviathan (Saison Royale).

They have a nice little selection of glassware as well as samplings on Saturday afternoons.

The selection of meats/cheeses/charcuterie to compliment your beer is exceptional. And if your spouse or significant other has not yet embraced craft beer, the wine selection is good too.

Only five reviews, I'm shocked. Come on gang I know there are more BA's out there who frequent here.

Just 10 minutes from my house and a real gem at that. First off this isn't just another beer store. Here we have quality seafood, meats, desserts (love the pies), wine, cheese and yes beer. And if your up in the Lakes Region for vacation and forgot your favorite drinking vessel, fear not they sell glassware too.

The quality is top notch. The food is always fresh and can be prepared and pre-ordered per your convenience.

Ben, (Benjamin you know who you are), Zach and Matt are at your service and ready to help whether you know your stuff or not. This trio you can surely trust.

For the most part to the left is wine (which is where I find my wife's Urban) and to the right is craft beer. For the area you won't find a better selection of either. Just bear in mind this is NH and our beer restrictions are a bit of a challenge. We're improving each year but we still have some hurdles to overcome.

The prices are fair in terms of quality so the value is certainly within reason.

I recommend to anyone who is visiting the Lakes Region via Rte 11 stop in here and check it out. You can visit their website too for a list of beers available at the market place (http://www.eatatjohnsons.com/marketplace)

This was a finding close by a summer rental... I brought up most of my beer from home, but I enjoyed spending time selecting more beer at Johnson's.

Zack and Ben are great and always willing to chat about beer and provide insight of the ones I didn't know.

The food is great, the bread exceptional, the cheese... yes they have great beer in stock! The Saturday's tastings are fun, simple and objective - - who doesn't like beer tastings?

Great place to get great beer and great food for a wonderful summer vacation.

Cheers!

The selection at this market is excellent! We love the different types of beer you can purchase and have found several new beers that are favorites in our household now. The wines are wonderful and they have lots to choose from! The wine and beer tasting on Saturdays from 5-8 is a wonderful service and helps us to expand our palate. We also buy a lot of our meat here as well and have never been disappointed. The Marinated Lamb tips and the Lamb "Lolli's" are two of our favorites. The desserts and sweets are fresh and homemade! We absolutely love the Date Bars and the Chocolate Double Chip cookies. Everything they make is fantastic though.
We have also received the best service from Johnson's Marketplace. Zach and Ben have been a tremendous help and have assisted us greatly during every visit. They don't mind answering our many questions and helping us learn about new things in reference to beer, wine, and meats.
All in all, this is a wonderful place to visit and we highly recommend it! :)

Good Selection for the lakes region NH. The staff has been very helpful in getting some stuff that I have asked them about. THis store does not carry any macro but has a nice selection of imports, Sam Smith Chimay Van Steebergen as well as many domestic micros, Sierra Nevada Stone Allagash Victory Flying Dog, as well as many others.

They will get anything available in NH if you ask them to. These are some younger guys with growing beer appreciation that is causing the store to be the leading local venue for good beer. They have sampled out some things for me before if I wasn't sure what I wanted but most of the time just some good old fashioned beer talk.

A must for beer in this part of the state.

Johnson's has the best selection in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire and a friendly, helpful staff who love to talk beer. Ben, Zach, Matt and Co. know their beer well and are extremely friendly and helpful.

Along with a well-chosen selection of meats, cheeses, breads and wines, Johnson's carries a variety of ales and lagers. Choices in the five door cooler include Green Flash, Boon, Firestone Walker, Oskar Blues, La Fin du Monde, Immort Ale, Stone IPA, Ruination, the Smuttynose Big Beer Series, Sam smith's Oatmeal Stout, Lindeman's Kriek and Framboise, various Flying Dog beers, Bigfoot, Brooklyn Black Chocolate, Victory, etc.

Recently they've expanded their offerings to include a warm rack that includes some of thee newest beer available in the state: Gulden Draak, Piraat, Monk's Cafe Flemmish Red along with high quality standbys, Sam Smith's Imperial Stout, Duvel and Sam Adams Chocolate Bock.

The staff enjoys beer and holds tastings every Saturday afternoon. They are more than willing to special order products for you and will try to track down any offerings you can find in the state.

Overall a great little store with a very helpful staff.
