Had at the brewpub while in Asheville for the day. Served from tap into a sampler shaker. Poured golden yellow-orange with a one finger bone white head that subsided to a minimal amount slowly. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt and earthy hops. The flavor was of sweet malt, earthy notes, and earthy hops. It had a medium feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a pretty decent brew. The flavor was okay but just seemed to be one-dimensional with all the earthy aspects going on here. The aroma on the otherhand wasn't very impressive. This is actually categorized by the brewery as an ESP rather than a regular Pale Ale... You can tell it is in the 'ES' style though. Worth trying at least once, but that is about it for me.

pale yellow with no head at all. Some small lace, but nothing noteworthy. Smell is slightly hopped with a malt hint in there, matybe even some caramel. Taste is big malt up front with a dry hopped back. Not bad at al lfor a pale ale and a little suprising based on initial presentation. Goes down very smoothly and really has a good aftertaste, would definatly drink this again.

Strong aroma is malty and fruity, mainly apple with a hint of banana, while a subtle hoppy undertone rounds out the nose. It pours a clear dark amber with a fairly average fluffy pale tan head. Flavor is crisp and malty with fruity and hoppy undertones and a yeasty note in the mix. Texture is quite fizzy and lively, leaving a tingly, hoppy finish. Overall, an above average pale ale that is worth seeking.
