Wormtown HQ. They always have the freshest Wormtown brewing drafts and bottles. Food is moderately priced but worth every penny from what I have tried. They also often have a few guest drafts that are worth checking out. Beer prices follow standard prices for the area or perhaps just a bit lower than other beer-centric bars around.

I made a stop here on the way from Providence to Hartford on a recent trip. My buddy and I arrived around noon on a Friday. We, of course, bellied up to the bar. The bartender was very friendly. I ended up having a couple flights and sampled all the beers Wormtown had on tap. I should mention that the restaurant is connected to Wormtown Brewing. I ordered seafood risotto. It was awesome. It was probably the best meal I had while in the area. The beers were okay. None really stood out as great or awful. It was reasonably priced. I think it is worth checking out.

Priecey food and horribly bland...don't get seafood. Had baked stuffed haddock and salmon Timothy, both plates were still full upon leaving. Haddock: Soft, not flaky yet a bit rubbery...bread crumbs like wet sand on the fish. Salmon: over cooked, fishy tast not fresh...on bow ties pasta? C'mon. No side offered...over 16$!
Waitress not overly concerned or sincere in asking if food ok...as if she knew it was horrible. Walking away while asking. Offered bread after Appetizer (???) Umm...bit late.

Now the beer that's another story damn fine beer and unique brews such as coconut chocolate stout and some Buddha brew with citrus...and ginger head my favorite Christmasy tasting beer and don't usually like spiced brews.
Hats off to the brewers for being bold and having some balls in a vanilla industry (ahemm miller lite budweiser yucko) Should stop serving food and just serve Wormtown beer in this joint. And hire people without the track marks as a resume...Need better narketing have only heard whispers of this diverse line of original delicious brews...from the hometown.

The service was horrible: this chic was on blow..or maybe meth (allegedly)...but not happy enough to be on drugs, like she forgot the Anti depressant in her cocktail today.Heard the next tables waitress and was jealous...more than helpful..
Sides of mashed potatoe and vegetable...coulnd't comment as didnt touch em, uninviting and unoriginal shards of nasty veggies and mound of slopped on cafeteria mash. Fried pickles were worth trying but not worth trying twice. Damn waste of $50 with tip, 2 meals, 2 beers and app/mediocre tip...including Groupon discount wich brings it to $70!!!!I'd be really pissed at this price. I'm only semi pissed. but Beeer was good...did i mention? Cant f that one up.

I'm a big fan of Wormtown beers. I'd been to Peppercorns (attached to the brewery) once before a coupla years back. Now twice in one week. The food is superb - mostly Italian, I've now tried the pizza, the Fire + Ice (my favorite, excellent) and the tortellini - took home half of the half plate portion tonight.

The bartenders were top shelf, great chow, and the Wormtown IPA goes to 11. A West Coast style grapefruity aromatic wonder. Also had the Mass Whole, a local ingredient-enhanced brew. Had another version of this first time here that might have been marginally better, but this brew rocked. I'm totally sold on Peppercorns.

Was driving through and wanted to try Wormtown, but needed to eat, too, so this just made sense. Decent menu with a variety of pub fare, ranging from salads and apps to burgers, pizza to steak. And, they have the full Wormtown taplist. As people have previously stated growlers are cash only for whatever reason. Sitting at the bar, the staff were very helpful and friendly, and fairly knowledgable about the brews despite not really working for the brewery. Very local friendly place. Prices on everything were not bad, and I would definitely swing through again.

Like many other I usually stop by peppercorns to pick up Wormtown beer as they are located right next to the brewery. A word of warning before u go, they only accept cash for growlers. Not sure why this unnecessary rule is in place and it can be incontinent but it exists so be forewarned.
Overall the food was pretty good, I had a burger and it was better than your average burger at a pub or local bar, although peppercorns is also more expensive than your average restaurant. Nothing extra special about the food but the beer is worth seeking this place out for. Wormtown is one of my favorite local breweries and makes a bunch of very good beers to chose from of which this place usually has a dozen or so on tap. Unfortunately they only let you get select beers in growlers. Every week they choose four beers that they will fill growlers with and will not let u have any of the other ones to go. Overall it’s a decent place to eat and the beer is great but their frustrating policies make peppercorns a pass if you can find wormtown growlers someplace else local. However, If you’re just going to grab a pint in the bar then it’s worth checking out since you will not find a better selection of wormtown beers in the area.

I found out about Peppercorns when I checked out Wormtown Brewery. I read online where Peppercorn was affiliated with Wormtown but didn't know they were actually connected to eachother. Peppercorns is not considered a brewpub although they carry all of Wormtown's brews.

I decided to have dinner with my girlfriend here, while on vacation. Our waitress, I don't know -- seemed very bi-polar. It seemed like she didn't want to be there; I also sensed an attitude from her. Then she was nice and seemed more pleasant. Next thing you know, it seemed like she was rushing us but being nice about it. I can't say her service was terrible, she was very attentive but she seemed to be bothered by us. That's my opinion, my girlfriend sensed it too and we were joking about how weird it was.

The food was really tasty, my girlfriend and I both got the Italian Platter. We both agreed it was really good. The only complaint was the sausage I received with platter was a little cold but it was still good enough to enjoy.

I only had one beer, which was a Wormtown brew, Be Hoppy, which was really good. It's really great that they sell all Wormtown brews there. If you want to grab a growler before you go home, you can do that at the brewery next door or inside Peppercorns. The day prior to going to Peppercorns I bought a growler from Wormtown.

The atmosphere is really nice. We decided to sit in the lounge area; while walking in, behind the window in the lounge, Wormtown Brewery can be seen. They're connected to eachother and can be accessed to one another by a door. The bar was in full view of where we sat. All the Wormtown Brew names were displayed above the bar and in the menu. Definitely a nice comfy place to grab some suds and some grub.

made the hour and a half treck out to worcester to check out some wormtown brews and wasnt disappointed, at all. the restaurant was pretty simple and rustic, but nice. everything here across the board was very nice from the service to the food, oh yea and the BEER! the only minor complaint was when the waitress asked how the beer from out flight sampler was, i stated that it was delicious but the Wintah was unbelievable she said "oh... " and walked away. i suppose thAts being nitpicky though. the barrel aged wintah and the cinnamon girl (aged in utopias barrels) were phenomenal, as was the black ipa, and the cream
ale. the food was fantastic, we had a chicken carbonara, and a chicken and pasta dish with proscuitto and asiago cheese. menu was extensive and eclectic offering a wide range of possibilities. it was hard pressed to believe that the long trip out to worcester would be worth it, but it absolutely was. good job guys! im a wormtown and peppercorns believer!

Usually go here just for some Wormtown growlers but had to hang out around the bar to try a few of the brews that were only available ontap.

A - Like othes have stated, small bar (12? chairs) and a few small rooms with tables. Dark woody enviorment. A nice place.

Q - Just really good. Chalkboard above the bar has a list of all their taps, all but two were Wormtown brews. A few nitrotapped beverages, beer is just great. Got a few bad pours though.

Svc - Very quick with the pours and the food was out nice and fast but they really didnt know much about the beers or glassware. Had to check the alcohol content on Blueberry Fields Forever (not listed). Quick at the bar though!

S - Pretty much all of Wormtowns beers were on tap here. Really, this is why you go to Peppercorns now, is for Wormtown. Forget about the bottles, you can get those at a bunch of other bars. The big thing is the ajoined brewery.

F - Didnt really disappoint. Risotto balls were great, eggplant roll was okay. The beef skewers were very tasty and I found myself ordering round after round of beer/bacon/brownsugar coated almonds to eat while watching the game and drinking Wormtown.

V - Reasonable. The small tastes (think tapas) range from $4-$5 and the beers on tap go for $5-$7. For what you get, quality of food and the beer, its really good. I had a handfull of beers and small tastes + tip for $50 (to be fair, I tipped alot). Definately plan on returning.

Im a fan of this place. It definitly on my weekly rotation. Im sure Ill be there a lot more as Wormtown Brewing opens up.

A- The bar small and intimate, the restaurant is as well, divided into a few small rooms.

Q- The beer is great, with 10 draughts and about 40 bottles. The draught list rotates, but is often New England beers. Chimay White, Anchor Steam and Brooklyn Lager were the only ones outside on this visit. The bottle list is more diverse, with Orval, Chimay Red, Green Flash West Coast, Arrogant Bastard, and Stone Ruination to name a few. They also have the macros in bottles.

Svc- Speed of service is always excellent, but knowledge of the beer and glassware is usually non-existant. I averaged the 2 scores for the "good" score.

Sel- Selection here is pretty well rounded, and will get better when Wormtown Brewing opens. Its not huge but its great for a restaurant.

F- The food used ro be hit or miss. They have since hired a new chef and most things Ive had have been good.

V- Prices are very average for drinks and are in the middle range for food.

When I am in Worcester, we usually hang out at the Armsby Abbey or the Dive Bar. This past Friday, I convinced by pals to take me someplace new. Peppercorns looks like a chain restaurant from the outide, complete with a ice cream shoppe attached to the side. Inside, it has that Pub 99 feel to it, kinda generic. Plenty of TVs at the bar to watch sports though. Once seated, we ended up having a great time. Our waitress was ultra cool. She checked on us all the time and was super fast serving us. Friendly and attentive. I told the GM she needed a raise. Food was really good. My burger was tasty, and my brother's pot roast was immense and as he devoured it he raved how good it was. They had about 12-15 beers on tap. Mostly local stuff: Allagash, Shipyard, BBC, Brooklyn, Wachusett, Smutty, Newport Storm, Grittys. I went with the Great Divide Hoss Lager at $6 a pint. It was OK. Then we looked at the bottled beer list, roughly 25 listed. Some were noted with a smiley face. Our waitress said that some were on the inventory reduction list and priced at $1.99. Bottles included Ommegang, Mad River, Lagunitas, etc. Are you kidding me? Two bucks? Score! We stayed here for the whole Sox game drinking these beers. I got a burger and three beers for $20 before tip. Not bad at all. This place was instantly added to our rotation of Worcester beer bars. Check it out for sure.
