Pours a foggy amber with a creme head. Nose is earthy hops. Flavor is robust and consistent leafy and salty hops. Minor bitter and sweet tang hits you on the back side. Smooth liquid and carbonation. Nice to drink. A bit too salty, IMO, but still a good production.

On tap at the 2007 Sly Fox IPA Project Day...
Appears a transparent orange toned amber with a small white head that slowly fades out into a mild cap. Small streaks of lacing are left around the glass. Mild streams of CO2 slowly rise to the top.
Smell is citrusy, herbal, floral, mostly clean with notes of caramel.
Taste is of the mentioned aromas but stepped down slightly with a very mild citrusy flavor.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, herbal, citrusy, and mildly astringent.

A nice light orange/amber colour mostly clear with a nice white collar of thick foam. Lacing is decent as well. This is one of my favorite IPA's ever. The Centennial hops are light citric in the aroma and almost cascade like in their freshness and alpha acids. The aromas also hint at freshly baked bread. The taste follows suit with some bready malts integrating well with the very fresh, citric centennial hops that are used in this bad boy. The mouthfeel as always is good, as is the drinkability. This really stands out amongst the anniversary IPA's as it has a much greater depth of flavor, but somehow maintains a higher drinkability rating as well. The mouthfeel is also very creamy, and easy going down the gullet. Great stuff.

Brought home a 1/6 keg of this today and took the rest of the day off from work. Pours a gorgeous copper with a medium tannish head and serious lacing all the way down the glass. The smell is amazing --- citrus, pine, a little grapefruit, crispy. Oh, the taste is great! It really is pine and earthly and flowery and a little raw (something I've noted in Sly Fox brews that I really enjoy). Like the other posts, the hops are everywhere and really make your mouth pucker up, but the sweet carmel heavy malt backbone really, really push this brew to a new level. Damn... minimal ingredients used in the perfect proportion to make a near perfect beer. This is what it's all about.

MMM nice beer here. I like the idea of using one hop base for your recipe, it has a nice way of shining a particular taste through the rest. It pours a nice amber color, has little head, and even less lace.

It has a nice, solid, somewhat bittery-citurs flavors with a sweet afterthough/aftertaste. It is not a punch-you-in-the-face bitterness, but it is a nice balance, and they utilize the cenenial hop very well here. I think the idea of an individual hops is a great one, and I cannot wait to try more. It does have a nice, although rather slight, malt presence, however, the hops (as it should be) take center stage here.

Nice IPA, I look forward to the other varieties coming out.
