On draft at The Boathouse in Malvern...
Appears a cloudy haze of light gold with a tiny 1 inch cap that quickly fades. Some lacing tried to stick but slid right back into the beer.
Smell is of crisp toasted wheat, cream, lemon and a hint of banana.
Taste is of the same aromas with a bit more of a hop bite than anticipated. This is a bit similar to Victory's Mad King's Weiss but with toned down alcohol and flavor. There are hints of this being better than good but there is a bit of an odd taste that seems slightly sour.
Mouthfeel seems like it's a tossup between acidic, bitter, and sweetness. Medium bodied and crisp but slightly odd.
Drinkability is good for a summer brew. Smooth and crisp, refreshing and different than the Royal Weisse.
It's ok, dog.

This beer left me a bit...unimpressed. I was surprised it was from SLy Fox because this didn't have much going on.
The color was nice, the beer was actually fairly clear and had little to no head though. Gave of slight citrus/bananna in the nose, no alcohol scent.
Taste and mouthfeel were more like a session beer than a nice hefe. There just wasn't enough there, almost like they went to subtle and ended up with a sort of bland tasteless hefe. Pretty dissapointing knowing this was from the Fox. You could probably down a bunch of these and not even notice what you were drinking. Not exactly what I am looking for in a beer.

Finally tried a pint at the Boathouse (where else) for $4.00. Pours a standard cloudy peach golden foggy hue with a scant ivory collar.
Moderate wheat and grain scents. Some sweetness is detectable.
First swigs: A wheat all the way. But not overly flavorful. Sorta middles with a wheat with some banana and a bit of spice, but not much.
Nothing too special, despite the Sly Fox emblem. A good session that doesn't waver nor impress. Sly Fox beers are generally much better but I imagine that this is good to sell as an Anniversary Beer here. Also, served with the lemon wedge. Boo-hoo.
