Big beer. Malty. Dark copper in color. Creamy off-white head. Fair retention and lacing. The nose offers dark-caramel malts and some spicy and herbal hops. The mouthfeel is full-medium, and its delicate, median carbonation gently bristles the tongue. Flavors of English-style brown malt appear in the taste, and it had a deeply toasted side that balances the dark caramel malt along with the spicy, herbal and leafy hops. Alcohol is mildly present, and may be contributing to the spiciness, but otherwise it's almost completely cloaked. Worth trying.

The beer is brewed in honor of Blob Fest in Phoenixville, PA in July. It is a (Imperial) Red Ale.
A: Murky black tea colors with hints of red and a creamy off-white head that has nice lacing.
S: Chocolate, earth, and pine mostly.
T: Chocolate, caramel, and a barrage of hops. This is a very different beer. It reminds me of a monsterous (both hops and malts) version of their Chester Co. Brown Ale.
M: Creamy and smoth with a long bitter finish.
D: This is such a different beer that I keep wanting to take sip after sip.

A-Pours a murky amber with a nice frothy white head and good lacing.
S-Grainy malts mix nicely with solid piney hops.
T-Following the nose, lots of grainy roasted malts mix with piney hops. A moderately bitter finish, though rather light for the style.
M-Creamy mouthfeel with good carbonation.
D-One of my favorite Sly Fox seasonals, this one is quite drinkable.
I wish they brewed this beer more often as it is quite tasty.
