Half finger head on a clear golden body and decent lacing. Aroma and flavor are similar with grains, pale malts and saaz hop bitterness. Medium body and moderate carbonation. This is a very flavorful pilsner with the hop bitterness you want with a solid malt backbone to keep it from being too light.

On tap at Sly Fox Phoenixville on 1/23/09.

A - Clear pale golden body with modest carbonation and slim white head that receded to a thin ring of retention and left minimal lacing.

S - Very citrusy aroma with lemon notes and a touch of subtle noble hops that impart a grassy and herbal character. There is also an underlying syrupy honey sweetness.

T - Charles Bridge is a citrus-forward pilsner with an herbal flair and some classic grassy hop bitterness. While the lemon flavor dominates, there is also quite a bit of sweet buttered biscuity malt to counter the fruity character of this pils.

M - Light to medium bodied with an oily texture and pretty soft carbonation for a pils. Crisp, dry finish with moderate bitterness on the palate.

D - Fine pilsner, though I prefer the Pikeland Pils over this offering. Still, it goes down easy and makes for a good session beer.
