This traditional British Ale is authentic cask conditioned beer with a smooth malt profile balance by a subtle hop presence. Dry-hopping in the cask produces an enticing hop aroma in this quaffable session ale.

Chester county bitter (firkin)
A: pours amber body with no real head and very minimal retention and lacing
S: not much of a smell; some bitter/sour/subtle malt taste
T: watered down, subtle bitter, earthiness; nothing overly impressive
M: watery and nothing impressive; was expecting a bit smoother for firkin
D: ok feel and taste combo; nothing overly impressive.

cask conditioned, served from the hand pump at the brewpub
clear, medium golden in color, foamy white head. mild aroma of bready malt, mild grassy hops. similar flavor, moderately bitter. nice mouthfeel, and easy drinking -but a little boring.

Had on tap from the cask. Pours clear, gold in color with 1/2 inch head. Taste is grain, honey, and bready malt. Slightly bitter, light bodied with low carbonation. Excellent bitter. Could have several of these. Just makes for a really clean and tasty lager. I would get this again.

3.51/5: Incredibly dry and floral, but it doesn't taste as fruity as the nose suggested; as easygoing as can be
