Appears caramel toned brown amber with a small off white head. Light scatters of lacing are left in the glass.
Smell is of sugary bread, raisins, figs, caramel, and perhaps a hint of cherries and a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg. Pretty authentic Belgian.
The taste is equally as enticing as the aromas. Some brown sugar stands out with all of the above mentioned aromas.
Mouthfeel is sugary, with mild prickliness and a slight spice that is of cinnamon pleasantry.
The only thing that was missing from this was some fallen yeast out of suspension. I looked and looked in the growler but to my dismay, not a trace. Must've been filtered out. Still a great brew for Brian O and the Fox.

This beer looked black at first, but when held to the light, it became a clear dark purple and amber. There was little or no head at all, unfortunately.
Smelled of powdery plumbs, heavy dark malts and dark fruits. There was also a hint of spicy yeast in the background, paired with a bit of alcohol. These smells were tightly woven together and I had to fight to get them apart.
Tasted initially of thin sweet dark malts, tart prunes and raisins, then faded into dry bananas and spicy yeast. The blend of these two flavors is what really makes it shine. Makes me think Im not in PA.
The mouth feel is light bodied and dense with a light carbonation, thats perfect for the flavor.
Absolutely delicious! I could drink this all night!

Currently called Belgian Dubbel:
Draught @ Sly Fox: This one poured a clear, yet almost opaque brown color. Tinges of red in there too. There was no head to it at all, with very little carbonation. No lacing at all. The aroma is a somewhat sweet caramel malt nose Some dark fruits. The taste is similar to the aroma, except it is a tad too sweet. Id still have another, though.

Sly Fox Belgian Dubbel... Poured a brownish red color with a medium sized, off white head that quickly diminished and left no lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark fruits (cherries, berries), candy sugar, yeast, and caramel. Tart cherry taste, some yeast, sweet malts, and light alcohol comes through as pepper. Round mouthfeel.
