Had on tap at the brewery in Phoenixville
Appearance: minimal head, clear, golden brown in color,
Smell: cherry, light toasted malt, and some alcohol
Taste: toasted malt, earth, cherry, dark fruits, alcohol, and a touch of sourness
Mouthfeel: sweet start with a bitter middle and a sweeter end--there is a semi-sour tone going throughout the beer, medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Drinkability: Wonderfully complex Belgian brown, where even though the alcohol is noticeable it is relatively well hidden. I do like the fruitiness of this and could have a couple glasses. A winner.
