Okay, it's like this. I went to Sly Fox expecting to drink the Cascade IPA and fill my growler with it and leave. Just as I was going for the growler, my wife says, "You have to try this beer." Wow! What a Hefe!!. Not only ordered one to drink there, but got the growler filled and enjoyed it for two days afterward.
It poured the lovely hazy gold of a true Hefe-weizen. The head was huge and long-lastign; the lacing went all the way down the pint. It has a huge nose that reflects the wheat fields of middle PA, but adds to that the tropical fruitiness of citrus, banana, clove, and some other spices. The beer just explodes in the mouth with the wheaty earthiness and citrusy aftertaste. There is some yeast flavor, a hint of other fruit, and finally a mixture of spices. The mouthfeel is crisp, clean, and pleasant. The drinkability is huge. I was tempted to move in.
Note: I have had some bad experiences with growlers. (Finding the beer still when opened.) Sly Fox's bartenders know how to fill a growler. I opened it three days later, and it looked like it was poured fresh from the tap. The second day, it was mildly less carbonate. The third it was definitely noticeably so but it still tasted great.

This was a 24 pack case of 12oz cans I grabbed at Brewskee's of New Oxford.
Look: Poured a hazy yellowish color with some deeper gold tinges towards the center. Head was a 1-finger of spongy white foam, reduced to a thin film within seconds. Carbonation level was decent with a steady flow of bubbles rising upwards. Had some lacing, but not much.
Smell: Sweet banana with some tropical mango. Also some bubble gum.
Taste: First up was banana with a crisp carbonation bite up the tongue. The middle was some pineapple and more banana. Not much in the way of clove in this brew, no complaints here though. The finish was fairly clean with hints of the tropical notes returning along with a slight bitterness. The aftertaste was similar to what one would have after eating a banana.
This was a very enjoyable Hefeweizen. The lack of clove seemed to enhance the drinkability. Perfect beer for a 90 degree summer day out in the sun. I approve!

Slyfox, a brewery in my own state and one who I think puts out a solid lineup for the price.
A- Cloudy orangish yellow with a puffy, rocky 2 finger head.
S- Clove, light Banana, and wheaty biscuit.
T- Refreshing and clean, with the yeasty esters and wheat malts playing nicely with each other.
M- Thick for the style, but not too terrible.
Overall, worth picking up a sixer.
