MMMmmm, nice weisse right here

Pours a dark orange color, very very hazy in appearance. light, fruity smell, comes off very nice.

Tastes of rich, spicy wheat. Fruity esters and yeasty/bannana hints come with it, and has a nice, smooth, if not somewhat sour finish.

Glad I could have this for my 100th review!

The beer pours a cloudy gold color with a thin white lace head. The aroma is good. It has light wheat scent with a sweet, fruity yeast aroma; very nice and aromatic. The taste is good. It has a good wheat malt presence with a strong fruity yeast flavor that dominates the beer. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium bodied beer with good carbonation. This is a fine weiss beer. It has great flavor and mouthfeel; another winner!

This was a hazy and pale straw yellow, with a frothy and creamy head of foam that looks like meringue. Strong and sweet aroma of bubblegum, candied sugar and lemony grains. There’s something else I detect that’s almost like fresh blueberry jam? The taste is light, fruity sweet with a touch of strawberry/maple syrup. Light bodied and highly flavorful and estery. Some sourness from the wheat and just a small amount of yeastiness. An excellent Hefe.

It is a murky gold with a small head. I know wheat beers are usually cloudy, but it does not look appetizing and there is not much head to boot. There is a lot of sweet banana in the aroma. The taste has strong banana and some spicy clove. It is a little too sweet for me, but it is refreshing.

This beer had a nice peach color with a nice white head. As another reviewer mentioned, it had banana-like tastes, along with other fruit-like flavors. It was a bit heavy for a hefe. Refreshing, but relatively heavy. I concur that there was little aftertaste.

Completely opague dirty orange color, with a finger of a head, meringue-like of tight small bubbles. Yet, the head did not stay well from lack of support. Wet, sliding lace.

Smells of soft bread, mild wheat tartness, moderate banana and moderate chalky clove scents. Average character across the board.

Taste is peach-lite with a mild wheat tart. Almost chewy dough/wheat grain flavor, small citrus end, and then a creamy finish. Protein-thick moderate mouthfeel. A moderate weizen that was a fair pair with a mixed salad and hot Italian sausages.

Did the yeast change? Did I get the end of the keg? Average on this attempt, as I got none of the big phenolic character and bold flavors that others have describe - will try again as I love a good hefeweizen and trust Sly Fox.

It has a hazy gold color with a thin white head that leaves a nice lace along the glass. Aroma is mostly bananna and citrus. Taste is bananna with hints of apple and apricot. Very drinkable and refreshing. Definately makes the trip to Sly Fox worthwhile.

Wow. Not your average hefeweizen; guess it is more of a weizenbock. Cloudy orange color, full Belgiany yeasty aroma, hearty taste. It's the full package. Might be too heavy for really hot weather, but an excellent fall or spring beer. Another homerun from brewer Brian O'Reilly.

A nice German style wheat beer. It goes with any food or alone and is very smooth and has a bit of citrus that lets it cut through the dry mouth and quenches the taste buds. It is good in the spring or summer since it is light and not as carbonated as other wheats. A great refreshing wheat.

It pours into the glass a copper color that is slightly cloudy. The head is foamy and white that disappears quickly and leaves little behind. The aroma is of some fruit (apples) spice, large bananas and hints of malt and hops. The taste is nice and flavorful for this style. Sweet and fruity with hints of the hops (slight bitter) and spices. But the main player is bananas. Like I said a good beer, refreshing. Can eat almost anything while drinking this, it will not interfere with the flavors.

A cloudy ruddy orange body rests beneath a frothy bright white head that holds well but eventually drops to a thin creamy surface covering. The body is medium (@ 3 Plato/1.012sg) with a very fine and lightly effervescent carbonation that leaves it quite creamy in the mouth. The nose offers bold aromas of apple, extremely ripe banana, and mildly spicy clove. These carry over into a rich flavor that also includes some light phenolics: a mild touch of vanilla, a gentle smokiness, and some minimal acetone. The bitterness is appropriately low, allowing the phenolics and the sweetness of the malt to act as the centerpoint, and yet it finishes short with just a thin lingering sweetness and very mild clove note. An exceptionally well done beer for the person who prefers a richly estery and phenolic weisse. Not to be missed.
