I let one cellar for a couple years, ages very well and imo was a lot better aged than fresh. A lot more dark chocolate and mocha to the taste as it sits. I definitely wish I had more.

Pours out pitch black with a mocha colored head. Getting a fruity sweetness. Decently bitter. On the higher end of carbonation. Drinks lighter than a standard Russian. It's interesting.

Really nothing there. No aroma. No flavor. Disappointing.

Poured from a corked and caged 750 bottle into a snifter glass.
A: A jet black color with a large two finger light brown head. Looks pretty good.
S: Huge roasted smells with burnt notes and little else. Really roasty.
T: This is where things go south. The flavor is roasted to the point you don't get much else. Some burnt flavors mix with in that turn bitter but it's not a hops bitter, it more just like plain bitterness. Sweetness underlies, but the roasty and burnt flavors just completely take over anything else. Finish is still bitter with a huge metallic off putting finish. Totally disappointed in this.
M: With all the roasted flavors, the mouthfeel is bitter but not full. Very strange.
O: This is a beer I totally did not enjoy, in fact I didn't even finish the 750 which is not my style. Something in this beer is just not right.
Shame, I normally love Sly Fox stuff and I'm a big fan of theirs. This one however is a clunker.
