Poured from can into a Sam Adams glass

A - Pours a crystal clear golden color with a thick ivory head. Decent lacing coats the sides of the glass while lively streams of bubbles cascade upward.

S - Pine and grapefruit rind scents are the primary olfactory experiences here, but still aren't that perceptible. Some bready notes sneak in, too. A fairly unimpressive nose for an IPA.

T - Earthy and piney hop flavors dominate - with hints of aspirin, grapefruit, and, believe it or not, leather. A fairly bitter taste is balanced by a toffee and bread sweetness from what tastes like European malts. The finish is all earthy and medicinal.

M - Fairly sticky with a overzealous carbonation.

O - To me, this beer seems like someone blended the piney hops of SN Celebration with the earthiness of English ESB, and threw in some Oktoberfest for good measure. The flavors, while not particularly offensive, seem out of sync. Worth a can, but not a case.

Poured 12oz can into glass. 7% abv

Appearance- Clear in clarity and medium-med dark amber in color. Lively carbonation with a white head that fades fast.

Smell- Grapefruit with an extra bit of mango like citrus aroma. Pine in there as well.

Taste- Good hit of citrus up front. The pine is stronger in the taste. Some toasted biscuit flavor in there as well. Mild bitter finish that lasts.

Mouthfeel- Medium, but definately on the thinner side as far an IPA goes.

Overall- A good standard and easy to drink IPA. Not mind blowing but a nice example nonetheless.
