Poured at cellar temp into a snifter. The beer pours a clear copper hue with some blush highlights when held to the light. A bleached white surface layer of tightly packed head remains after a 2 cm foam up.
Tight lattice on the sides of the glass after each sip.
Aroma is white grape and some booze, mixed with candied sugar notes and general fruity sweetness. I think some black pepper is buried in there too.

First sip reveals an average body with fine fizzy carbonation, a sticky texture coats my lips after each sip.
Flavor is sweet and fruity with pears and white grapes and a dry black pepper finish with some hits of booze as well. A nice complex beer that is a good drinker considering the ABV.
A well made tripel if that is your thing. I enjoyed this beer and would buy another bottle.

Picked this up on a recent trip to Phoenixville, and purchased it direct from the brewery, so it should be quite fresh. The bottle bears a date stamp of 10/10/13.

There's a few clumps of sediment at the bottom of the beer, which is not surprising given that it is bottle conditioned. The cork pops off with a percussive thwop, allowing a bit of vapor to escape. The ale pours a luminescent golden honey amber color, with a bit of diffuse haziness and a minimal head that becomes a thin skim of wispy foam.

The aroma is fruity and sweet, with apple, peach and canteloupe smells mixing with a honey-floral sweetness that gives this some depth. Hints of banana and earthy malt are also present.

The taste is quite good; starts honey nectar sweet, with banana, honeydew melon, and kiwi, turning somewhat tangy as it reaches its finish. There's also a woody, grassy flavor mid-to-end sip that, for me, is the only real detractor from how this tastes.

Medium bodied, with a bit of a softer feel that is balanced by the tangy feel that alomst has a carbonated quality, though this does not appear to be a very carbonated beer. This tangy quality does start to dry out the tongue as you get further into the bottle.

A nice tasting tripel style beer, it is hard to believe this clocks in at 10.5% ABV. There's nothing in the taste to indicate this is a big beer; rather, its sweet and slightly fruity flavor could easily accompany a beer half as strong. Definitely worth a try if you can get your hand on this.

ark yellow in color with a good amount of haze and cloudiness built into it. Lots of carbonation streaking up toward the top of the glass, converging into a large, easily two inch high head of white foam that gracefully sat on top of the glass dropping tons of sticky side glass lace in its wake.

Huge citrus nose on this one. Very pungent with orange peel and lemon zest clearly represented on top on a nice Belgian ale. Some light notes of grass, peaches, and maybe some light grain all coming together quite nicely to provide a well balanced attack on the senses. The flavor was just as solid here. Rich notes of biting citrus just came ripping through your tongue, shredding the taste buds initially before relaxing into a mellow, but still highly floral Belgian ale. Some light notes from the alcohol and the yeast started to peak through as it warmed, hinting at some depth. Letting it come close to room temp is where you really start to find that depth. Some light grain like malts, hints of peaches and bananas and just an all out really nice profile. One of the brightest tasting Belgian ales I have had in a very long time

Had this on 2011-10-17 in Columbia, PA

A - Mostly-clear straw with a 3-finger white head and lots of bubbles from the bottom of the glass. Head fades quickly and leaves scant lacing.

S - Sweet lemon grass and mild belgian yeast smell. Not overpowering but pleasing.

T - Very sweet like a Sprite soda with a few spices, a twist of lemon and some mild hops stirred in. It helps to initially disguise the alcohol.

M - Medium mouthfeel and carbonation. Syrupy. Not refreshing.

O - This one didn't do it for me. I think it could be enjoyed by folks looking for a safe way into a high ABV brew but I need a richer palette of flavors if I'm going to spend my calories on a high ABV brew.

There's a very light haze. Lots of chunky lace. The head starts well but it settles quickly. Golden color, bordering on amber.

Notable yeast aroma on an otherwise pale malt aroma.  Some creaminess to the nose.

Great Belgian flavor. Really represents a true Trippel. There are elements of coriander and oily pale malt. Strong alcohol presence. The body is spot on.
