A 12 oz bottle from the DB Adventure Pack.
Pours dark reddish brown with a decent head, good lacing, and no sediment.
Aroma: roasted malts with hints of raisins and dark toast.
Flavor: medium and dark roasted malts with hints of toffee, dried plums and raisins. Subtle hops. About equally bitter and sweet.
Feel: A little thin, but appropriate for style and smooth.
O:a nice, dark roasted amber.

A: Dark brown in the glass, and ruby as it is held to the light. A light tan head on top graces the top.
S: Sweet, with a nice roasted smell. Caramel sweetness and a touch of smoke combine together in malty harmony.
T: Caramel and bread with a little roasted character. Sweet, and malty.
M: Medium in body, with a fairly high level of carbonation.
O: Overall a very tasty brew..

This beer pours a copperish-brown color, giving you a since that this beer may mean business. I would say this beer came to display an array of satisfaction on the palette. The nose offers an earthy, semi sweet, malt characteristics, that is very welcoming. The flavor, was actually quite pleasing. This beer has a moderate body, with moderate carbonation. The flavor was malty, semi sweet, nutty, and earthy. The lager yeast came through on this beer as well. This beer had a nice finish as well. Try this one out if you get the chance.

a passable dark lager, but nothing special. medium roast, medium body, medium carbonation, medium flavor, medium quality. these guys keep winning awards, but their beer keeps underwhelming me time after time. this might as well have been made by heiny or something, irrelevant beer, with lager yeast and a factory sort of feel. malt is a little sweet with some caramel, but the feel is appropriately dry for the style, but it has a lingering almost tannic thing on the finish. it just is super basic, lacking a distinguishing factor. not bad, like some of their beer has been, but how do these guys keep getting decorated time after time, i have yet to have a beer that even turned my head a little bit, and this one certainly doesnt.
