A- Clear dark yellow with a small head that doesn't lace.

S- Sweet, slightly funky, with alcohol notes.

T- Sweet upfront and piney/resiny in the middle. The alcohol makes an appearance at the end along with spicyness.

M- Thick bodied with moderate carbonation.

O- An average IIPA, nothing special, but not bad.

Pours clear, gold, with one inch head and medium-high carbonation. Taste is herbal and leafy hops, grapefruit, and sweet butterscotch malt at the end. Sweetness pops up briefly, but leaves a dry bitter end. Makes for an interesting sipper. I might get this again, but I prefer other DB beers better. I would seek this out if I was more of a hophead.

Poured into a tulip

A- Pours bright, clear and golden in color with lots of carbonation bubbles shooting up to the top, producing a nice thick foamy and sudsy head, that retains long after the pour

S- Cantaloupe and melon fruitiness up front, some tropical mango and pineapple. Citrus, floral and herbal hops with some earthy hemp, grassy and spicy to close it out

T- Very sweet and sugary up front with a slightly bready malt, nice mix of citrus, herbal and grassy hops. Tropical hop flavors close it out with more sweetness on the finish

M- medium body with low carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel, ending with a smooth finish, alcohol is contained well

O- Quite possibly the sweetest DIPA that I've tried, but it's still very good. It does make it a bit hard to finish a whole bottle though. Still a good hop bomb and worth a try

Poured from the bottle into a Spiegelau Dogfishead IPA glass.

Easily one of the most perfect IPAs I have ever seen. An unbelievably crystal clear body, of shiny gold and orange, literally the perfect hue of orange and lemon yellows. Thin carbonation comes up, not overly excessive, slow at the bottom, faster at the top. It moves like liquid honey in a glass. Head is a perfect three to fingers tall, clumpy off white foamy and large. Not too big, not too small. Basically the perfect looking IPA.

Real interesting nose. Dank aromas, and a hint of mushy over ripe fruit. Hints of faint tropical hop notes, papaya mango also. Some woody like character to match. Real varied.

An extremely large and in control IPA. Large almost hop pine and dank aromas, with just the perfect amount of caramel sweetness poking through. Large hints of grapefruit crush on the finish, zesty, oily and long aromatics. Wonderful controlled honey like sweetness that doesn't get too boozy either, and brings out the liquid grapefruit in spades. Large controlled bitterness on the finish, and real lip coating soft sugars.

This is easily the best beer I have had from this brewery to date, they absolutely just nailed this.

A 3+ finger head over this great looking coppery brew. Nice lacing.

Grassy with over ripe citrus. A very hoppy aroma, yet the malts shine through as well. Sweet and syrupy with honey and caramel.

Sweet caramel malts with bitter grapefruit and butterscotch. Tastes of alcohol.

Medium thick in body. Great retention. Drying in the end.

A bit on the expensive side, but a great brew. Rich in aroma, flavor and mouthfeel.

The beer pours as very nice white and clean head. The head is foamy with very tiny white bubbles. The beer itself is beautiful. The beer is a clean and clear medium gold color that is very pleasing to look at.

The beer has a rather bitter note to it with sweet and malty smell to it with a strong note of bitter pine and ripe grapefruit citrus hops to balance things out. The smell is pretty nice and different for a DIPA. Most DIPAs have a stronger sweet smell but this one is more bitter and pine. The malts do a good job of taking the hops down a little.

The beer taste is pretty good and similar to the smell. The taste has a bitter ripe grapefruit and pine note to it with a sweet malt backbone to balance things out. The beer also seems to have a sweet and bready aftertaste to it.

The mouthfeel is a bit heavy but closer to medium bodied. The carbonation is biting, which makes it feel lighter than it probably is.

Overall, a very good beer and worth getting when it's available. Highly recommend.
