12 ounce bottle poured into a Harpoon IPA strange

A: Dark amber, minimal head, good carbonation

S: Slight pumpkin, biscuit, nutmeg. It is almost like a Marzen crossed with some pumpkin and spices.

T: The taste fails on this beer. The front is biscuit and spicy caramel. There does not appear to be much pumpkin or spices in the taste.

M: Smooth, clean beer.

This is more like a mediocre Marzen and lacks the pumpkin and spices. Good brewery, but not a good representation of the style.

Appearance: orange and festive looking, thin white head, great clarity

Aroma: pumpkin, nutmeg, graham cracker, cinnamon, crisp

Taste: pumpkin flavor with finishing spice and a mildly crisp finish. A graham cracker like flavor in the malt which is nice, but not fantastic. Smooth and easy drinking

Mouthfeel: medium body, medium carbonation, crisp

Overall: A good pumpkin ale that has a little lighter bodied than others in the style, but also a little less flavor. Good for sessioning, but only because it is not overpowering or particularly alcoholic

A- pours a bright and clear copper color with a small foamy white head that reduces quickly, leaving just a bit to float on the top

S- typical pumpkin spice aromas of cinnamon and clove, seems like there's some extra sweetness on the aroma, almost tart cherry-like, banana candy

T- pumpkin flavors are quite subtle, a malty sweetness kicks in mid-palate bringing some fruity notes, toasted malt with some cinnamon on the finish

M- medium-light body with medium prickly carbonation, foamy mouthfeel and finish

O- middle of the road for the style, but good drinkability

Poured into pint glass, no head.. Hm maybe my pour??

Took a swig and enjoyed the taste, but it was flat and faded quickly. No lacing along the glass edge. Average smell, pretty mild. Interesting burnt orange color I kind of enjoy though.

Nice initial flavor but thats about all its got going for it, aside from being a local beer. Im suprised at this one, wonder if it has anything to do with being in the " create your own 6 pack section ".
