Light amber pour with a small white head enjoyed at Stub & Herbs.
Aroma is pretty malty, caramel malts with a nice little hint of spicy citrus hops.
Flavor is similar, with a nice sweet malt flavor coming from the caramel, and maybe even a touch of munich or biscuit malt giving a slight bready flavor, but the hops are there also. Citrus and spicy hop flavor are mostly what I can detect and there is a nice balance there.
This one is stronger than a typical APA, so I am not sure how it fits into that catagory. But this is a very easy drinking beer, scary for a 7+% beer.

Had this on cask at Lift Bridge night in Edina

Served in a pint glass

Pours a small finger of off white head fades . Color is a slight hazed copper orange.

Aroma: Caramel and bready malts. Citrus notes with pine and floral hops.

Taste: a lot of bready malts with caramel flavors. Lots of pine and citrus notes with floral hops.

Mouthfeel: Bitter and thin. A lighter bodied beer with a decent amount of carbonation.

Overall, I have had better, but not bad for a cask pale ale. I am glad I got to try this one. It took a while for me to finish this pint.

On-tap at The Commander release. Actually had this out of the brite tank several weeks earlier. Loved it then, let's see how it's come out.

A golden body with a sticky and oily looking head of foam that leaves lace clinging to the glass.

Very hoppy smelling with lots of pine and citrus. A bit of caramel sweetness in there also.

Great fresh hop flavor. Lots of pine and citrus flavors that are a bit oily and coat the tongue. A nice caramel malt backbone is there to cut into the bitterness a bit.

Quite slick and oily feeling, but the soft carbonation helps to break it up a bit. Medium body.

Overall, I was really impressed with this. Very enjoyable, my second favorite beer of the day behind The Commander. I would have this one again for sure.

I've been to Minnesota twice in the past month or so, and both times I ran into a lot of beers and schwag from Lift Bridge. They seemed fairly well-established and fairly easy to find, but they weren't listed on BA. This might be because their website contains no physical contact information--no address, no phone number--and so added them to the database was a bit of a chore.

Beer description, according to official website:

"Constant addition of fresh Cascade and Willamette hops from Brad's Stillwater hop garden during boil and fermentation process. Aromatic and caramel malts compliment the hop character for an incredibly balanced beer that celebrates the hop harvest without killing your tongue."

Continually hopped you say? Sign me up.

I got this at Stub and Herb's, where none of the beers had heads since that's just how they pour them. Color was very nice, though--dark, lightly hazy amber.

Aroma had a medium balance and medium strength. West coast hops mingled well light caramel pale malt.

Tastes like it smells, only a bit stronger and a bit more balanced. Hop nodes of big grapefruit and citrus were backed up by a thick, bittersweet malt. Strong, but it sure as heck didn't taste like it was 7.2% ABV.

A good APA, thought after a weekend of slugging down Masala and Furious it didn't quite stack up.
