I had this on-tap while I was in Minneapolis. Served in a standard pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a clear golden color with half a finger of off white head. The head fades to a layer on top of the pour with some lacing on the glass.

Smell: Yeasty up front with some banana and bubble gum notes. This one seems to be rather light and crisp.

Taste: Light and very yeasty with strong banana and bubble gum notes. I'm also getting some citrus fruit as well as a floral note. The finish is fruity and full of yeast.

Mouthfeel: Medium body with aggressively tingly carbonation and a slightly dry finish.

Overall: I wouldn't have guessed this was a saison if I didn't know the game. Reminds me more of a hefe. I don't think I'd have another, but it was a decent beer.

A random scored from a recent trip to Minnesota...

A - Pours a slightly hazy golden colour, finger of head with some retention and no real lacing.

S - Scent is dominated by sour citrus rind, orange notes, bready wheat and grassy notes on the finish.

T - The citrus and orange notes come through alongside the bready wheat flavours. Some sour grassy hop bitterness comes through on the finish.

M - Lighter bodied ale that goes down smooth and finishes dry.

O - A tasty saison that offers a hint of citrus on the finish. Nothing mind blowing, but certainly enjoyable.

From notes

A - Pours a hazy straw/golden brown color with one finger of off-white head.

S - Smells of coriander. citrus and yeast. Also a slight amount of pepper. Pretty good.

T - Similar to smell. Nice spices with hints of citrus and pronounced Belgian yeast presence. Pretty refreeshing. Finishes slightly earthy.

M - Light/medium mouthfeel, crisp up front, slightly dry finish.

O - A bit tame for the style, but this still has some good flavors and goes down easy.

My first from this local brewery. From a 12oz bottle into my Darkness snifter.

Pours a hazy golden rod. A modest, white, one finger head that needed a fairly stiff pour to produce died quickly and left little lacing.

Biscuity grains blend with Belgian style yeast esters. Spices, some pear. Orange zest comes through.

Taste follows the nose. Grainy upfront but quickly blends with floral/spicy and somewhat fruity yeast notes. Orange peel in the finish is a nice addition. Very little in the hop department.

Light to medium in body. Creamy with a moderately dry finish. Well carbonated.

Overall this was a good Saison from a local brewery I'll have to look into more. This was by no means stellar, but it was a tasty and drinkable brew. The orange peel can actually be tasted and seems to work well. I can't say I'll revisit this one frequently, but would recommend it to anyone not familiar with Saisons or looking to try a good, lesser known, MN brewery. Cheers!

A- Clear honey, with a thin white head that lasts pretty well and leaves a couple wisps of lacing.
S- The aroma is straightforward but pleasant. Spicy, with pepper and clove and a bit of pale grainyness.
T- Taste is far sweeter than the nose made me think it would be. This one has an odd but pleasant canned peach flavor, with a strong spice flavor in the finish.
M- Mouthfeel is light, almost foamy. The finish is quite dry.
O- It's an ok beer, I enjoyed it well enough, but there are so many saisons out there I would prefer.
