Enjoyed on-tap at Stub and Herbs in Minneapolis, MN. Served in a snifter this beer yielded a pale pinkish to red body with no foam. Aroma was tart citrus fruit. Light bodied mouthfeel with tart fruit flavors. Not bad for a fruit beer, but not my favorite style. (261 characters)

A - Pours a hazy orange brown with very little head, though it maintains a collar. Small spots of lacing are left behind.

S - Tart fruit is prominent in the aroma, along with some Belgian yeast and a bit of banana, spice and bread.

T - Interesting. Again, lots of tart fruit that I am assuming is lingonberry. Also a bit of lemon and banana, with Belgian yeast, bread and faint spice. Definitely a twist on the traditional triple, but actually pretty tasty.

M - Medium mouthfeel with a nice, dry tartness and a faintly earthy finish.

O - The tartness really made this enjoyable on a hot day. I don't know that I would seek this out, but it is a nice twist on the style and I'm glad I tried it. (697 characters)

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle.

The beer pours a hazy light yellow color with a white head. The aroma is wheat with some unidentified berry notes. The flavor is similar, with a lot of berry character complimented by the wheat. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. There is nothing bad about the beer, but nothing too exciting. (343 characters)

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Summit Scandia Chalice.

Appearance: Pale yellow-orange with just a hint of pink. Head foamed up but then disappeared.

Smell: Sweet and tart berries and citrus, light bready malts, with an underlying clove-like dryness.

Taste: Somewhat like a classic Tripel - with light bready malts lightened by sugar, cloves, citrus and the tiniest touch of banana. Of course, the lingonberries add a whole new dimension with some nice tartness.

Feel: Moderate carbonation, medium body. Despite a somewhat sweet beginning, it ends more tart and dry.

Drinkability: Very refreshing summer beer with just the right degree of tartness. Considering the abv, this is a dangerous beer because it begs to be consumed in vast quantities. (758 characters)

Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a Duvel tulip glass.

Appearance: A cloudy light golden orange with about a finger of white head that quickly fades into a patchy layer. Small amount of lacing.

Smell: An interesting sweet and tart aroma of banana, peppers, tropical fruits, berries, yeast, and bready malts.

Taste: Tart and sweet with a mix of tropical fruits, berries, bready malts, banana, clove, spice, and yeast. Pretty tart but not overwhelming. Complex and tasty.

Mouthfeel: Medium body with a medium to high carbonation. Smooth and slightly dry.

Overall: A very solid take on a tripel. (597 characters)

Had a tulip glass at the Acadia. I heard this was supposed to be more red, but it was just a clear amber. The lingonberries impart a pleasant tart tang, but overall, this beer could use a little more Belgian character - it's a bit too clean. I'd say the same of Lift Bridge's Farm Girl (not enough yeast character), but this is still a respectable Belgian with a earthy and lightly fruity character. Worth checking out for something different. (443 characters)

Pours a hazy golden color with a very small head that did not hold for very long. Just a few specks of lacing is left on the glass. I do not see any pink that the people who had this on draft have reported. Has many of the elements of a tripel in aroma, the fruity esters play a lesser role than the sweet, bready malt. I do not pick up the Lingonberries. No sign of alcohol. The flavor is more what I look for in a Tripel. Solid malty base with some candied sugar and fruity esters. I did not pick out the Lingonberry until the finish where there is a slight tartness. A nice Scandanavian twist to the Belgian style. Has a medium body and nice carbonation. Quite drinkable and interesting with the added twist. This is like the rest of the Lift Bridge beers. It comes very close to being great, but just falls short. (817 characters)

Poured from bottle to pokal:

Pours a bright, glowing gold with constant beading. A short lived white head swells briefly with the pour, sinking back to a thin cap.

Lots of smooth, fresh tartness. Sour grapes, yeast and clean grain.

Very unique beer. Sort of drinks like a berry infused Belgian golden. Unavoidable tart finish.

Nice summer beer. Much enjoyed this one. (371 characters)

Orange in color slight pinkish hue. Smell is straight up strawberry hill boons farm. Taste is also very white wine with tons of strawberry. Alcohol is definitely perceived. Surprisingly my wife the wine drinker does not like it (227 characters)

A: Poured a golden orange color with a pinkish hue to it. There is about a quarter inch of head that disappears quickly leaving a trace of lace around the edge of the glass and top of the beer

S: Sweet berry aroma, banana, tart aroma with breadiness and yeastiness

T: sweet berry flavor with breadiness and tartness

m: medium bodied beer with good carbonation

overall, I really enjoyed this brew. Another good beer from Liftbridge! (435 characters)
