Poured into Dogfish Head IPA glass
A Hazy amber. Thick foamy white head, fades slow. Thick lacing remains.
S Fresh cut grass. Orange peel. Pine. Sugarcane. The citrus orange smell is very pronounced.
T This is a hop blast. Hoppy, piney flavor right up front. Followed by a smooth sweet malty taste. Bitter finish that lingers.
M Light, smooth, clean.
O Awesome. Leans towards a West Coast IPA, but there's more to it. It is a giant hop bomb, but there's some subtle sweet and spiciness. Complex. Taste great. F-ing great beer!

poured 12oz bottle into snifter. Thanks to Nick for this!
A - Golden hazy orange with 2 finger white head. Fades to a ring and leaves behind decent lacing.
S - Tropical fruits of pineapple and passion fruit, with light citrus. I get some floral and bitter hops as well with a touch of bready sweetness.
T - Nice hop kick in the beginning of tropic and citrus fruit. Seems a bit more bitter citrus than pineapple, but it is really good. Hints of light honey and bread sweetness in the middle and finishes with a bitter citrus.
M - Solid carbonation and medium body. Slick and oily with a lingering bitterness on my tongue.
O - Nice local MN IPA. Very enjoyable and reminds me of a few WI IPA's.

A- Dark golden but still transparent. Nice head and lacing. The head stayed fluffy for some time.
S- Caramel pine and resin. Citrus notes. Earthy. There is some strange, sharp aroma I cannot pin point which comes out in the taste as well.
T- Earthy pine hop with a well balanced caramel malt. The hop overtakes the malt on the finish and lingers briefly. It tries to acidic with citrus but falls short. Still, it pokes through just enough be identified, and it pisses me off. Almost ammonia-like. Nit picking aside, this is a solid, well rounded IPA.
M- Heavier than expected.
O- This beer is different each time I have it. Unavoidable changes from cool, to room temp, to cool could be to blame. Despite its solid balance and flavor, I can not get over this strange taste I get. Almost like the ammonia used to describe some wines.

Appearance: Arrives with a copper color and a nice head that leaves a respectable amount of lacing behind
Smell: Rather balanced with a good malt backbone and some earthy/piney hops
Taste: A good fruity, caramel base complemented by piney and earthy hops; bitter, almost in an English way, but nicely balanced in the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: A pleasant IPA that goes down well
