As well known in Minnesota as this place is, I thought it would be bigger, but the selection was solid and the beers were good. My favorite was the Mole Brownie Stout, which isn't as sweet as the name suggests, and is well balanced with notes of peppers and cinnamon.

Paid a visit to pick up BA Silhouette which is excellent. Its in an industrial area of Stillwater, its a pretty basic taproom that is pretty small, no frills. Very nice folks there, I would recommend the BA Silhouette I think it is a step above their other offerings.

While Lift Bridge is not my favorite MN brewery - it does offer some tremendous beers. I've visited the tap room three or four times now, typically for beer releases, or when I'm in the area, and I've enjoyed myself every time.
Qualities that recommend Lift Bridge: it's a smaller tap room, with several picnic table style benches, and with a few 4-person tables around the windows. The taproom offers free popcorn and plenty of board games. The beers on tap are typically a pretty varied bunch - the last few times I've been to the taproom, there were at least 6 very different styles offered. Lift Bridge never has so many beers as, say, Founders or Bells - but they do have a few quality brews, and flights are cheap (with generously sized pours). I'll also say that the service is usually super friendly and quick, and the taproom atmosphere in general is quite familiar, local-friendly, and jovial. It's a loud, chatty tap room, generally.
Things that do not recommend Lift Bridge: I will never recommend out-of-towners visit Lift Bridge - simply because a visit entails such a long drive. If you plan to visit a tap room and have several beers, it's an expensive Uber ride home from Stillwater. Parking isn't great either. When the brewery is full (happens all of the time for releases or in summertime), you'll be stuck drinking outside. If it's particularly cold or hot, this may not be tremendously pleasant. As far as selection go, while Lift Bridge does generally have quite a few beers on tap... many just are not that unique. You can typically find nearly all of them on a shelf in your local bottle shop.
I do like Lift Bridge, but there are things about it that could be improved... I'll come back every single year for Barrel Aged Silhouette though!

Service is at the counter. Nice woodwork throughout the brewery. Nice selection - 14 beers on tap. Kind of dark in the brewery. They do have growlers and bottles to go.
Fun place to visit, and I will be back.

Came here on a Sunday after a major event and the place was quite busy. Small taproom that is quite bright and inviting with communal seating and a popcorn machine. It does not look like food trucks frequent there often. They do seem to hold a lot of events. They are really known for their few bottle releases done each year. I have had all their flagships, a few seasonals, and a few special release and I have never tasted anything unpleasant. All their beers are very good for their style. This brewery is an excellent place for Stillwater and Neighboring Hudson.

Well ive only been here 3 times and its always for the annual BA Silhouette release. Will say ts a drive from Minneapolis, its in a small industrial area, with plenty of parking on the street. The brew has always been good and service great. Brewpub is kinda rustic with lots of wood, they do open up the back with more seating. If this were closer would be here more often.

The first time I went here they were having a baseball event where you win beer by hitting home runs. Amazing.

Went to Lift Bridge a few days after hitting up Surly's Beer Hall. There's a huge difference! While I think the Lift Bridge beers are solid all-around beers, the tap room was a bit boring along with the overall selection. Had a pint of the Citra Kellerbier which was tasty, but I felt that I should be sitting in a rocking chair watching a PGA tournament the whole time. Very friendly staff and overall solid beer, just nothing very exciting.

Rather pedestrian taproom that lacks character. Noticed a bit of a trend of good breweries having their taprooms in industrial parks, while poor breweries have theirs in prime locations. Nice that Lift Bridge concentrates on what matters, the beer. All the beer is good with no flaws and the same as what you will buy on store shelves. I just wish there was more taproom exclusives besides a "session" ale. The cask that was scheduled did not go off as planned and did not get an opportunity to try.

Not a lot of tap handles, but their seasonals are outstanding, staff is great, and their events are tons of fun.

This is a fun place! Great tasting beers. It is in an semi- industrial location. Nice open tap room and lots of fun stuff going on. On my way to something else, I will make a point to pack a sandwich and stop by for a beer or two.
The beers are awesome and the service is great.
