Talks the talk and walks the walk but the jive is a bit unique here. Has the Belgian character, fluent in yeast but the spicing accent is where this beer sets its self from the rest. Good job all around. (203 characters)

Look: Bright golden yellow. Big fluffy head dissipates slowly. Beautiful lacing. Spice sediment free floating. Active carbonation.

Smell: Peppery Belgian yeast up front. Some floral qualities, maybe a little jasmine.

Taste: Really nice spice. pepper, coriander, and ginger all do their own things. A little floral bitterness on the back end. Really well balanced.

Feel: Its a little creamy. Fairly dry finish.

Overall: Its a very solid Belgian IPA. One of my favorite seasonals from Upslope. (495 characters)

12 oz can. Pours clear light yellow with a medium creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is lots of musty Thai spices.

The flavor is some sweet bready malts with a lot of spices and some light floral hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, interesting Thai spices. Lots of spice but not much IPA. (361 characters)

12 oz yellow can served chilled into a goblet.

Thai Style White IPA is a pale hazy yellow color with thick white head and good retention.

Aroma is slightly spicy coriander and maybe saffron.

Flavor is balanced between hops and spice with the notes bouncing back and forth on each sip. It seems to end spicy, bitter, and dry.

Mouthfeel is light in body, crisp and balanced.

Overall a solid beer and not, as I feared, reminiscent of Thai food. (448 characters)

A nice, earthy Belgian-influenced pale ale, but the spices get muddled here. That herbal bitterness is interesting, but it largely comes off like a clean wit. (158 characters)

Yellow colored beer with a tall white colored head.

Smells of lemon and coriander. and the sting of ginger. There is some black pepper and some honeysuckle malt scent. The Thai basil comes through as a sage aroma.

Starts out sweet with a strong coriander flavor. Taste of lemon and sage/mint it starts out sweet and finishes bitter. Lemon pith flavor.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall and interesting beer. (408 characters)

With a beautifully-bubbly yellow-gold appearance, bearing near-crystalline transparency, this stab at a "Thai-style" white makes a great first impression; it's odor is, likewise, very pleasant, with extremely clean, light-but-lingering pine-floral notes, a strong herbal base, and just enough spicy-sweet aromatics from the malting to impart some warmth. I find the flavors, however, to be just a bit blunter: though the hopping is promised to be cistrusy, and is to a degree, those sharper, juicier notes are largely swallowed by the spicing—ginger, especially, but also the Thai basil and coriander—leaving piney, bitter-acid notes to resound. Indeed, the lemongrass seems to impart more citrus character than the hops, but overall the combination of generous hopping, very pale malting, and gingery piquancy produce a slight puckering and less delicacy than I'd like. The Belgian wit yeast adds some creaminess, but also a substantial dose of bite that amplifies even a little more the "bigness" of this beer.

It's by no means bad; it's solidly good, in fact—if perhaps a bit thicker than ideal for a White IPA. It's a step down from great, despite some superlatives, however—and I think I prefer Westbrook's attempt at the "White Thai", though there's is obviously an attempt at a true Wit, instead of a wit-yeasted pale IPA. (1,342 characters)
