Light orange, with some amber highlights. Good, spice tinged, off-dry, medium light toasted malt aroma. Light flavors of slight herbal, bright hops, and a little, lightly toasted malt.

Pours a light amber and copper color, 1/2" white head, good clarity. The aroma was off. Wasn't hoppy, smelled more like an old ale, in both ways.

There are hops here, they provide a decent bitterness without providing much in the way of flavor. Plenty of caramel malty notes, but they aren't refreshing and melding with a hop quality like greats like SNPA do every day consistently for decades.

Perhaps the carbonation could be higher to give the beer a crisper feel. There was no can date, but I suspect (purchased from Argonaut in Denver) it may not have been the freshest beer. Then again, nothing I've had from upslope has been much to speak of. Its almost English in style but for the higher bitterness and weird sour acidity. I don't think its infected, but its not good either. I just can't envision any scenario where this would be something you want or yearn for under any weather pattern or event.

Look: Nice 2 finger head from a 12 oz can. Crystal clear light gold color. Very good head retention stays frothy for awhile.
Smell: Nice hop aroma. Malty and some bread. Smells rich and sweet.
Taste: Some hop bitterness rushes right into sweet maltiness. Sweet at first, drying out a bit just after. Seems very fruity/citrusy. After taste is passion fruit and some charred wood flavors. Nice earthiness.
Feel: Just right, but a bit lower on carbonation than I like.
Overall: Nice, rich, malty, and fairly hoppy. Not my favorite Pale Ale, but really good.

Clear gold with white head made up of fine bubbles, didn't last all that long
Smell: Minimal, but when you do get a whiff, you get some sort of light hop profile
Taste: Very palatable, with definite hop bitterness, but not overbearing. Definitely grainy and bready too with a bit of orange zest.
Feel: Intermediate body that foams up on the palate
Overall: not bad, a quaffable beer
