Poured into a SlyFox pint glass.

Pours a deep copper color with a light tan head. Head drops fairly quickly leaving only a thin wisp of foam.

Aromas of sweet malt, and citrusy hops.

First sip apes aroma, sweet malt backbone with a good balance of a firm bitterness with citrusy hops. Good bitterness and grapefruit on the finish.

Mouthfeel is a little thin, but not watery. Firm bitterness just barely creates a slight puckering. No astringency.

Overall a very nice, straightforward American IPA. Nothing too brutal about it. Could easily put down a couple three four of these after a long day.

Straight across the board this one is pretty darn good. Orange-ish and a little hazy in the glass with a good head. Piney and a little bit citrusy in the aroma and taste. Malt backbone is clearly there, but the hops still have room to shine and there's no major conflict.

So far I haven't found a single beer from Upslope that doesn't make the grade; every one I've tried has been tasty beer. I expect that trend will continue with each new beer I try from this brewery.
