12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left thin rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and sweet pumpkin. Nice pie spices with a good deal of cinnamon. Sweet pumpkin and caramel flavor.

Pours a somewhat bubbly medium amber with two fingers of tannish head. Sweet...like pumpkin pie filling. It's missing the crusty doughy smell. The taste goes right down the pumpkin pie spice check list. There is a nice amount of carbonation which gives it a shot of body that is lacking otherwise. Not bad, not great, but like most pumpkin beers they're OK. An enjoyable fall beer.

The pour is dark orange. The taste is pumpkin with spices like cinnamon & ginger definitely showing it's presence in there too. Cheers! B

This was a very nice surprise. You really never know what you're gonna get until you pop that can or crack that bottle open. This was truly a special beer from the look and smell (full of sweet pumpkin) a crisp though astringent mouthfeel, but overall, I would offer this up as a good example of what the best of a pumpkin ale can be.

I'd rate this one higher than most of the other pumpkin ales I've tried thus far. Some are just unpalatable, but Upslope managed to make a 7.7% beer that doesn't Reek/overpower the flavor with alcohol.

Pours dark orange/amber, with frothy head that sticks around.
Strong smell of pumpkin and possibly nutmeg/cloves?
Tastes like a pumpkin pie, you can really taste those baby bear pumpkins!
There's a tad bit of carbonation there, which is more than I had anticipated, but didn't take away from the mouthfeel.

A seasonal beer like this definitely isn't for everyone, but this one was surprisingly delicious. Upslope never fails to deliver quality with local ingredients. Give it a shot. $10/6 pk @ 7.7% isn't a bad deal.

A thanks to the prince of pumpkin beers, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a ruby/bronze color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of fresh pumpkin pie. Taste is a good balance of pumpkin and spices, alcohol is well hidden. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

Spent way too much at Total Wine in Albuquerque on a recent work trip and grabbed this last second. Kind of had a secret love for this brewery, giving their IPA a 3.75 on July 25, 2011, their Raspberry Belgian Pale Ale a 3.73 on May 18, 2016 and their Barrel-Aged Imperial Milk Stout a 4.43 on May 20, 2016. Untappd called this, “Adding organic baby bear pumpkins to malt and hops makes this truly a local farm to brewhouse collaboration. A custom blend of six spices rounds out the flavors in this highly anticipated beer.” Apparently it was a 2011 GABF Gold Medal winner, but that was seven years ago.

Poured a copper clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of khaki white frothy head. Lots of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Excellent layered foamy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.25)

Smelled pumpkin pie, allspice, nutmeg, crust, raisin, prune, cinnamon and caramel malt. Was digging it for sure. Rarely, the smell was better out of the glass than the can. (Smell - 3.75)

Taste was pretty damn good as well. Got pumpkin pie, allspice, caramel, brown sugar, pumpkin crust, nutmeg, raisin, anise, cinnamon, herbal and vanilla. (Taste - 4.25)

Medium body. Sticky texture. Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.25)

Just an outstanding pumpkin ale. Would have it again for sure. (Overall - 4.00)
