A very solid American Belgian style pale ale. Nice and smooth, with a creamy white head and slightly cloudy dark straw body. The yeast flavors are restrained (in a flavorful but not spicy way) and contribute to an overall level of smoothness not often seen. I think the can helps this with slightly lower than normal carbonation feel. This is one of my favorite Upslope beers, and I like the higher ABV too. I am sad to log in to review it and find that it is listed as discontinued.

Pours a thick light golden color with nice assertive bubbles and minimal lace. The head sticks to itself more than anything.

Smells of yeast, coriander, apples and bananas, floral essence, tastes fairly similar. Foamy mouthfeel and on the sweeter side for a belgian pale, with a slight cinnamon note also, which actually is in a nice place. must be the coriander, and the coriander must be fairly fresh. hides the ABV ridiculously nicely.

I would actually rate this beer higher but since I have a bias towards belgian pales I am going to hold back. But honestly it drinks better than a 3.9

Poured a dark yellow, little head, lots of yeast sediment. Not much on the nose besides yeast. Pretty pale and yeasty on the first sip. Pretty dry and not much complexity or flavors. A small hint of toasted nuts, but that is really about it... It was just okay. Not their best and surprising because everything else I have tried from them has been pretty spot on.

A: 3.5 - Hazy straw color with a small, thin layer of foam on top.
S: 4.0 - Highly fruity nose, with notes of peach and banana, with a touch of spiciness as well.
T: 4.25 - Sweet flavor and lots of fruitiness. Bitterness is fairly low, and malt clean. Lots of coriander in the finish!
M: 3.75 - A tad watery, but also nice and light despite the strength.
O: 4 - Well-done beer, though I would appreciate more hops.

Weighting (percentages): 20, 20, 40, 5, 15. Avg: 3.98

Pours a hazy golden orange color with a soapy white head that leaves little bits of lacing.

Smells of light fruits and coriander.

Tastes of a fruity character along with some spicy notes and sweet malts. Fruity notes lead off with banana and apple. This gives way to a bit of coriander and peppery spice. Doughy malts come through along with some syrupy sweetness. Finishes with a bit of bready yeast.

Mouthfeel is medium with a slick amount of carbonation.

Overall, this is solid, but it doesn't quite stand up with other Belgian pales.
