Thanks to boatshoes for a growler of this in the 8 Crazy Nights BIF!

Poured into Duvel tulip.

A: Dark dark brown that sinks into the glass as black, except for the edges. Thin head on moderate pour, spotted lacing, and a few lingering bubbles around the edges of mocha color.

S: Vanilla, oak, chocolate, coffee, malt. Very nice aroma.

T: Whiskey really hits up front, with the rest of the beer coming on the backend. I get a lot of vanilla, some oak, and your typical dark roasted malts found in a stout. Bit of coffee in the after taste.

M: A little thin, even for a non-imperial export stout. Carb is proper level.

O: This beer drinks really nicely. Good to see a well done barrel aged stout of lower ABV. The barrel doesn't dominate the beer. This beer is a bit of a thicker body away from being excellent.
