I stopped by recently to check out the beers in this newly opened brewery. The resturant from my understanding has been around for quite some time but the brewery addition is a new addition. The atmosphere of the resturant reminds me of a early morning breakfast stop.A 5 tap system and a small bar to the left as you walk in. The brewer has 5 beers of his own on tap and the ones that I tried were top notch, the pumpkin and porter were amazing. The service seemed to be good but nothing overwhelming. The food was pretty I had a stuffed burger which was quite good. Overall this place is a welcome addition and the beers are top quality.

They call this a brewery, but I don't really know why. Although I was able to snag some glassware from them, so I can't complain. From what I understand, this is the cafe that accompanies the Tequesta Brewery, but they don't brew their own beers. Or rather, Corner Cafe was the original brewery, but they expanded into the neighboring building, named it Tequesta Brewery, and then the cafe just kept its old name. Something like that. Anyway.
The place gave off a diner vibe, more or less. Booths, tables, outside seating, and a small bar that seats maybe 7 or 8 people. As such, the crowd was basically a diner crowd: families, senior citizens, blue collar joes, etc. Nothing wrong with that, but it's not quite my concept of an ideal drinking environment. But that's just me.
Fortunately--since Tequesta itself was closed pretty much every day when I was visiting FL--Tequesta beers were at least somewhat represented here, with about 2 or 3 on tap. There were other non-threatening local options, and other general craft staples, making for a small, but satisfactory beer selection overall.
Service was fine overall. It was midday and most people there were eating breakfast or brunch, so my wife and I were basically the only ones at the bar, and we got a little extra attention. No less than three servers attended us, and I'm pretty sure at least one was an owner. She was very good and very knowledgeable, and actually recognized the wife and I as craft beer enthusiasts, going so far as to ask our opinions on several beers she was planning on ordering for the bar in the future.
The food was very tasty, again, quite diner-esque, but tasty nonetheless. Prices were reasonable.
This was a nice place, and a nice experience, though probably not a place I'd choose to go back to if I ever visited FL again. Not because I didn't like it, but because it's really the only spot worth hitting up in the area. If Tequesta were to be open, then sure, I'd revisit Corner Cafe as well.

I stopped by here on a Thursday morning. I just wanted to sit down outside and enjoy the less humid South Florida day. All I ordered was coffee and it took nearly five minutes just to receive one cup of coffee. Service could use some improving. The coffee was pretty good, though.
The draft list was pretty impressive.. They had four Tequesta beers including pumpkin and an IPA. They also had several other guest taps, a total of about ten draft selections. Cigar City was among the selections as well.
I wasn't very impressed with the atmosphere. There were nothing but old people there, and I mean old, like 60 would be a baby here. The cafe itself looked old and dated and is in need of some drastic updating. I definitely could not see myself here after about 1pm.
I don't really know what to think of this place. It is weird to have such a great selection at an old and dated cafe with the majority of the customers being in the "late afternoon" of life. I probably will not stop back by here.

Right on the corner of US 1 & Waterway and next to the Tequesta Brewery.
Beers on tap at the moment are:
Tequesta's Gnarley Barley, Der Chancellor, Julio's. Wit, and Hoppy Amber with Avery's IPA & Milk Stout and Dale's Pale Ale and an unknown English IPA.
4 tables outside under shade are very nice for a March lunch stop. Inside is a bit more typical Florida with some nautical feel to it.
Service excellent and reasonably versed on the beers though apparently the offerings from next door rotate fairly frequently and she did need to double check on one not listed brew.
The Mediterranean Chicken with spinach, artichoke, sun-dried tomato and goat cheese on ciabatta was awesome though the chicken was a bit tough.
Most entrees are $8-10 fir lunch with breakfast running $6-9. The banana nut poundcake French toast sounded so good, maybe next time.

Right next to one of the greatest breweries: Tequesta Brewing Company. The food is very tastey and well put together. The french dip is one of the best I have ever had. Their chhese dip is awesome too! They have great breakfast and lunch selections. Their 22oz glasses are the best I have drinken out of. I tried to buy a couple but were not for sale :( Now I want them even more. The service is great. Runned like a good ole Mom and Pop diner. Highly reccommend eating lunch here then going next door for a couple brews. CHEERS!

What a hidden little gem in Tequesta....well maybe not that hidden to the locals. I came because of the brewery, which has now become Tequesta Brewery, but came back over and over and over for the brewery AND food. Not exactly a trendy hangout or happening bar, but the food, beer and service more than make up for any hipster quality. Food is low to moderately priced and very imaginative and the beer compliments it perfectly. Matt's beers were received so well that he expanded to a larger, full scale brewery right next door. Both are Highly recommended!

This review is more focused on the "Tequesta Brewing Company" which is next door to the Corner Cafe.
The head brewer of the Corner Cafe has opened up a bar/brew pub next door to the Corner Cafe and Brewery. Matt (brewer) has his normal lineup on tap (along with some rotating guest taps). The beer is fantastic. The "bar" itself is something to be seen as it is looks to be from the turn of the century (not 2000 but 1900). All wood with a column at each end. I especially enjoy the light fixtures above the bar.
Back to the beer. Matt has his staples, a pale ale (Gnarly Barley), a german style Kolsch (Chancellor), a Hefe Weizen (can't remember the exact Name, Julio something), an american brown (Terminally Ale), and a rotating special (recently a double IPA which is phenomenal). Very happy to have a place like this in S. Fla (which for a long period of time has had its "good beer" challenges). Kudos to Matt and the rest of the Corner Cafe crew.

Just made my first visit to this great little place. The menu is very diverse. You wont be disappointed by all the choices. Service was excellent. I had the jerk Mahi and it was nothing short of fantastic. My friend had the Wahoo and said it was equally good. Its a cozy feel in the place. The bar is very small but grab a table near it and no problems.
I had the Kaiser Kolsch and it was a great hoppy beer. We worth it. Wish I had time for a few more. Only one I tried this trip. They have 4 beers on tap regularly all made on site with one rotating as the fifth.
Spoke with who I believe is the owner and he explained they are expanding to the building next store. This will be the new tasting room and growlers will be available! Excellent. This is well worth the trip. GO and support local business with great beer and food! You wont be disappointed.

I love this place. I learned about the Corner Cafe and Brewery from a local newspaper website and then checked the reviews here. My wife and I drove 40 miles in the rain yesterday to try the beer. Much better than I expected. The food was excellent. We ordered a Mahi Ruben and a Ceasar Salad with London Broil. We started with a sampler of all five beer offerings and settled on a double IPA which we both really liked. Its a very friendly pub. We sat at the bar and felt right at home. I want to recommend the Corner Cafe but at the same time I feel a selfishness creeping in making me want to keep it a secret only shared with the best of friends.

Corner Cafe and Brewery is a Godsend!! This is the only brewpub in the area. They have 6 brews. Lets review each one:
1. The Kaiser - It is a delicious pilsner with hops. served in a giant pilsner glass. Its got a nice head and aroma. good starting beer.
2. Hefe-weitzen - This is the flavorful light ale. It has clove, banana with hops. Served with an orange slice, it has a citris flavor. very good!
3. Gnarly Barley - This was a slightly darker barley ale with some nice aroma and flavors. Honestly It did not stand out but is fine.
4. Terminally Ale - This is why you come here! This is the best ale in the house. It has choclate, coffee, and citris. It is not as heavy as a porter. I would order this first for new commers.
5. Octoberfest - served to us in september. It was a nice copper ale. Nothing special.
6. Rasberry ale - I Didnt Try.
All around, an aweseome place to watch college football, have fun, drink brews and eat snacks. I bought 2 T-shirts that day!
