Dark brown color with tan head. Aroma has sweet, malty notes, some caramel but also hoppy notes. Taste is bittersweet and roasty with some milk chocolate and a hint of burnt caramel. Medium body with soft carbonation. Old school, well made oatmeal stout.

Pours dark with creamy head. Clean, nothing floating.
Smells of roasted malt.
Taste a hint of oak and not to sweet.
Feel is great. Not too filling and welcome aftertaste.
Could easily pair with red meat.
Welcome find. If you like stouts less sweet then I recommend.

Pours a clear, deep brown so dark as to appear black, with ruby highlights at the edges when held to light, producing almost 3 fingers of mocha, somewhat lasting, frothy head that leaves a wash of pasty lace. Aroma is dark roasted malt, rich dark chocolate with hints of molasses, toffee, char, grainy oats & faint dark fruit. Taste is sweet fronted, robust dark malts & slight burnt notes composed of roast, dark sweet chocolate/Hershey's chocolate syrup, hints of cola, dark fruit, vanillia, coffee & cream. The finish exhibits a burnt, unsweetened cocoa, molasses & a low cola like sweetness. Aftertaste is dry, bitter chocolate, a more exaggerated burnt note than in the finish & maybe a touch of smoke. Mouthfeel is medium-heavy bodied, moderate carbonation, very, very creamy with a little peppery bite beginning at midsip and lasting through the finish. The astringency in the aftertaste is negative. Overall a very nice brew and in my opinion underated on Beer Advocate.

Look: It pours dark brown, not quite black, with a brown head. The head is creamy and thick. Smell: It has aromas of roasted malts, some hints of coffee, and some sweetness from fruit and low levels that is hard to identify.
Taste: There are flavors of roast, oats, and some coffee that provides some bitterness with the flavor. There are also some floral elements in the flavor as well.
Feel: It has a medium body that is smooth. It has medium high carbonation.
Overall, this beer provides a good balance with the roasted elements combining well with the oat and coffee flavors. The floral elements provide some background balance to the overall presentation.

Jet black beer with a creamy tan head. With my nose buried in the glass I get sweet roasted malt, coffee, and a bit of char. The taste is mildly sweet with great bitter chocolate, coffee and char. There is very nice mouthfeel and a nice carbonation that adds to the creaminess. This is a fine basic oatmeal stout that excels without the addition of trendy flavors.
