I found this place by accident. It's a Mobil gas station. I just needed to use the bathroom but when I walked in the front, it was like I walked in an emporium. I was not expecting this.

Beers, Beers, and more beers! There were beers for sale that I didn't even know were distributed in Michigan. There were more European brands than I've seen elsewhere. Shelves full of sixers and singles, seasonals and limited releases. It was impressive.

But as I wandered around I observed two dudes walk past all this glorious beer and pick out a 6er of Budweiser each. This is a great store with just as huge a wine selection and fabulous deli but I'm not sure it fits the area. Plus their stock seems to just sit. There were still Christmas beers on the shelves and spring releases.

I'd say this place is great....if its September and you are looking for an Oktoberfest or December and looking for a xmas beer.

Buyer beware-Check the bottling dates before you buy.

First of all, yes, this is a Mobil gas station. Obviously it's not your normal gas station though if it's listed on BA.

Located right off I-75 & Grange Hall (exit 101), for northern Oakland county, this is probably the best selection of beers. They have an incredibly wide selection of beers including a large number of Michigan beers. Several specialty brews too such as Dogfish 120 Minute, Sam Adams Chocolate Bock and even a 3L of Samichlaus ($120!).

Pricing seems to bit a bit more on the expensive side, maybe an extra $1 on a 22oz. Acceptable considering the wide variety they offer.

This place is relatively new, it'll be interesting to see how the stock turnover works out for them as the years progress. They already have cases of SN Bigfoot that are a year old (I'll probably be picking up one soon).

Oh, and the fuel pricing is pretty competitive for the area...
