Single hopped with Centennial hops provides rich, piney, earthy and fruity hop backdrop to the incredibly citrus bouquet and flavor from the use of real grapefruit juice.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours yellow orange with a tiny white head. Smells of grapefruit and other citrus notes. Tastes of tart citrus with slight grain notes. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, an above average beer.

Pour is golden slightly hazy with a sizable foamy cap.

Smells like grapefruit rind, very citrusy and potent.

Taste: Initially it’s similar to the smell with loads of pithy citrus it’s quite good yet.. now after a couple of swallows, strangely the citrus character had vanished and is replaced by a very malty, earthy, almost soapy quality.

Not sure what to make of it, but what started out promising doesn’t end as well.

I got a bottle of this off the single shelf at a grocery store outside of Milwaukee whilst there for a hockey tournaments. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had grapefruit. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with grapefruit presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a decent beer.

I must admit, I agonized over how to rate and review this one. The initial taste put me off; the bitterness I associate with cheaper beers (Miller, Coors, etc.) forms the initial wave, which is fine for a cheaper beer, but, not for a grapefruit IPA. But, then, the most tart, citrus-imbued blast of grapefruit hits and it... All works.

Allow it to warm up just a hair before consuming, and let the head dissipate almost completely. Take a few sips, and, if you're truly a fan of grapefruit, it might just work for you. If you're more of a fan of juicy IPA's, stay far away.

Special notes: one of the best-smelling beers I've experienced. You could make a candle out of this one.

Appearance - The beer is A deep golden color.

Smell - There is an unbelievable fresh grapefruit nose here.

Taste - My initial impression is fresh yet bready grapefruit. The fruit is potent in the beginning, but just sort of ends. The beer starts with a great deal of potential, but just crashes in disappointment.

Mouthfeel - Carbonation is appropriate for the style.

Overall - Few have been the times in which a beer starts so well and ends with such a crushing disappointment. This had a lot of potential, but did not finish well

Look - slightly cloudy dirty golden color with great lacing
Smell - lots of citrus grapefruit
Taste - not as much grapefruit as the smell but it's still there
Feel - pretty thin and could use more body
Overall - pretty good but sculpin is still way better but for the price this is worth it

Aroma is bright orange/grapefruit/citrus, slight earthiness and malts. The flavor is grapefruit/orange, hops/hop resin, fruit, malts and a dryish/bitter finish.

Poured 12oz bottle into snifter. Dull, darker yellow color, with a 2 finger white head. Nice retention and lacing on my glass. Aroma is filled with grapefruit rind and juice. So much that it mutes the hops and malt. It is difficult to find any malt on the nose. Flavor is pink grapefruit juice with just enough subtle amount of hops and malt sweetness to provide balance. Low alcohol content and a nice carbonation with a tart finish. I would call this an IPA Raddler hybrid brew as it is not a full on IPA, but can be considered refreshing especially as the summer heats up.
