I picked this up at the Binny's store in Bloomingdale, IL as part of a build-your-own six pack for $9.99, making this single 12oz bottle $1.67. No freshness date.

Be careful with the pour. With just a 3rd of the beer poured into my glass, it filled completely up with mocha colored foam. The head lasted well over 3 minutes before I could pour the rest of the beer into the glass. As the head receded, it left lots of large spots for lacing.

The beer had a big roasted malt smell to it along with coffee and chocolate aromas.

Lots of dark roasted malt flavor in here with tons of lactose milk sugar added for sweetness. Coffee, caramel, and chocolate are also present. A slight, but noticeable hop bitterness is present at the finish (21 IBU's).

Medium bodied (thinner than most milk stouts), but still smooth and creamy. Carbonation is low.

I thought it was a pretty good representation of the style, and and pretty good tasting to boot.

Dark mahogany brown with a quick rise- and fall- of gray-beige suds. Lacing is modest.
A whiff of roasted grain and some sweet lacto/brown sugar noses that congeal to approximate toffee and milk chocolate. The nose could use a boost in overall volume, but its nice enough.
The flavor profile is washed out to a point where I wondered if I had somehow mistakenly diluted by half with water. Touches of toasty/roasty grain. Some noted lacto/milk chocolate sweetness. A waft of smoke. And a bit of herbal bitterness. And a whole lotta wet emptiness.
The mouthfeel compounds matters with its waif, frail body and overabundance of carbonation. This is the absolutel opposite of how something like this should feel.
Mildly chocolately flavored water. Drinkable in that regard, I guess.

12 oz. bottle poured into a CCB snifter.

Appearance - Dark brown, but not completely opaque with a quickly receding light brown head. Almost gone by the time I got to the table with it. Looks like a porter more than a stout.

Smell - Roasty, bits of chocolate. The smell isn't overwhelming. What I would expect from a weak stout.

Taste - The taste is immediately chocolate and coffee bitterness, giving way to... nothing. It has almost no back end flavor. Nothing gross or sickly, which I was a bit afraid of. Just nothing.

Mouthfeel - Very watery, not thick at all. High carbonation makes it feel like coffee made from club soda.

Overall - I feel like I panned it in the review, even though there was nothing offensive about it. It's easy to drink. I didn't find myself wanting to pour it out. Just didn't have much to it.

A rising crest of mocha foam sits on top and rises above the rim of the tulip glass momentarily. Sheets of lace form inside the glass in a thorny halo pattern.

Mellow milk chocolate and lightly roasted malts in the aroma.

Smooth light bodied feel, lower carbonation, mellow roastiness comes off a bit like toasted marshmallow and hershey syrup. A touch of char, mellow chocolate sweetness. A session beer for chocolate lovers if ever there was. Feels a little thin but it's smooth and creamy. Enjoyed this overall.

12 oz bottle poured into a MKE tulip.
4.5% ABV,

A - The moderate pour pushed a light tan head through short-lived cascading. The clear dark amber-brown brew that's basically black in the glass is topped by disappearing foam that leaves no trace of it's existence.

S - Sweet lactose is evident and immediately backed by a smooth and gentle roasted malt character with touches of caramel drizzled throughout. Cocoa and a drop of vanilla both add a pinch of complexity.

T - Firm roasted malts finally budge, giving way to hints of coffee and molasses before being overtaken by lactose sweetness and a drizzle of milk chocolate on the finish.

M - Medium in body, Polish Moon has the flavor but leans towards a lighter feel as the carbonation dances along your tongue. It finishes dry and bitter from roasted malts but nicely balanced between the sweetness and bitterness.

O - Polish Moon has light malt complexity throughout but the roasted malt wins out in the end, almost forsaking the milk stout sweetness for roasted bitterness that feels an awful lot like a robust porter. If it's a sessionable dark beer you're looking for, look no further than Polish Moon; it's under 5% and packs a whole lot of flavor!

Pours pitch black with a thin light brown head. Some lacing sticks.

The smell is of roasted dark bread (pumpernickel), chocolate, coffee and some sour milk.

The taste is of roasted coffee, dark chocolate - Roast and sweetness balanced by sour lactose and dark bread in the finish.

The initial fizz quickly settles down, leading to a smooth texture.

This is a well-made milk stout. This is a well-balanced milk stout, easy to drink and enjoyable.
