Appearance: The beer pours strawberry blonde with a solid stripe of tin looking white head. You can clearly see the carbonation.

Smell: This one's only got a very faint smell to it. When you get your nose close enough to be in danger of dunking, you can finally sniff out a whiff or two of hops.

Taste: A pretty bog standard and one dimensional IPA, to be perfectly honest. There's a very light taste of orange peel and spice to it, but the prominent flavor is the hops...which isn't horribly strong.

Mouthfeel: The beer has a decent gravity to it, but the carbonation is a little bit higher than I tend to like in IPAs (that last bit is all personal preference, mind you). My problem here is that there is very little hop resin that sticks to the inside of your mouth. I like that. I miss it.

Overall: I wanted to like this beer...I really did...and although this beer certainly isn't bad, it's not terribly good. There's nothing particularly noteworthy about it. MKEBC, if you're reading this: more hops, please.

Dark amber color with two fingers of head that had good retention before settling to a thick cap. Moderate amount of lacing is left down the glass.

Aroma was a let down with its timid hop aroma. Mild herbal and pine notes. Sweet caramel from the malt as well.

The flavor was equally disappointing. Definitely IPA levels of bitterness, but the hop flavor is very weak. Herbal and mint notes from the hops. Slightly sweet malt flavor. Nothing poor about the flavor, just not one of the better IPA flavor.

Enjoyable texture to the beer. Creamy feel that is unusual for most pale ales. The addition of oats is noticeable and appreciated.

The hops made a disappointed appearance in this beer. Would be a good beer if they could get more out of the hops besides bitterness.

Pours a murky amber color, clearly unfiltered, half finger of off white head

Smell is a dose of pine and earthy hop notes, a little citrus flows through, caramel, toffee, a nice plum like smell with a decent bread backing

Taste is bitter pine, a little grapefruit, bread, biscuit malt, caramel sweetness, some orange, herbal and earthy hops shine through in the bittering finish

Mouthfeel is medium, average carbonation with a nice dry finish

Good stuff, not great, but a nice beer none the less. Give it a shot.

Milwaukee Brewing Hop Happy IPA, brewed and bottled by Milwaukee Brewing Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Not a drop of gobbledygook anywhere on the paper label. No real information, either, other than the legal necessities. Maybe on the 6-pack holder? Nope, nothing but QR codes. A different kind of gobbledygook, an unreadable kind.

Murky amber hued appearance, slim white head.

Aroma: pithy and pungent, plump with pine and citrus, lemon and grapefruit galore. Not my favorite IPA aromatics, but not bad. We'll see.

Taste: Bright hop flavor greets the tongue immediately, backed up with sufficient malt. Bright, and juicy. Medium-bodied, lean and drinkable. Perfectly serviceable. Average and adequate. I can drink it and not feel a thing, nothing to think about, nothing to worry about.

It's okay. That's all. Sigh.

Pleasantly surprised at this IPA. Bought one 16 ounce can in a mix six pack. Very tasty, great value. I'm too good at describing but if I needed to take some beer somewhere that bottles weren't allowed - the swimming pool or a NASCAR race - this is what I'd want. Bring it to PA!!
