Bought this in a 6 pack at a local liquor store here in Madison.

Not much of a fan of this style, but I enjoyed this beer for what it was. From the pour it had a nice golden amber color but with only a short lasting head. It seemed to have a hint of a licorice as well as a peach flavor, but each flavor was not overbearing.

Overall it's a nice beer, but probably will not pick up another 6 pack. If offered to me, I certainly would not turn it down, but I would much rather have Hop Happy or Polish Moon from Milwaukee Brewing Company. In their defense, I feel I will have to try more of the farmhouse ale style to gain a better grasp of this beer.

(Served in a tulip glass)
A- This beer pours a clear caramel body with a swirling carbonation of big bubbles and a spongy white head that sticks to the glass before sliding back into the beer.

S- The fruit cocktail and yeasty aroma is full even during the pour.

T- The dry carbonic acid and fruit cocktail esters blend with pale malt and corn in the dry finish. There is a dry candy note that lingers a moment after the finish. The corn does take on more of a sweetness as it opens but the finish stays dry.

M- The light mouthfeel has a scrubbing fizz that grows as it opens and no alcohol heat.

O- This beer has a nice fruity ester flavor with a dry crisp body and some interesting candy notes. It is not a typical saison but it does have some interesting floral notes.

Poured into a pint glass

Appearance: golden and hazy with a thin white head

Aroma: slight hints of wheat and pine, kinda musty

Palate: medium bodied, not very carbonated, not big alcohol noticed

Taste: huge funk flavors, bit wheat and some hop kick to it. Very impressed with this

Overall: best MBC beer ive had. This is an awesome brew. Must try!

Received as a gift from my sister-in-law...poured straight from the refrigerator (about 40º) into a standard pint glass.

A=Nice dark gold color...first pour had a very foamy off-white head that lingered. Merky appearance, as if no or minimal filtration.

S=Well...some sweetness, but the aroma also reminded me of the smell of a frat house after a party the night before...and urine.

T=Reminds me of a weiss...some sour notes, and a tang. Paired with chili...I was expecting more of a cream ale. The lightness made the sour taste bearable. I am not overly familiar with saisons, but this is too much like a weiss...plus the sourness is not that enjoyable. After letting the second half warm up to about 50º, the flavor enhanced, and the sourness seemed to drop off.

M=Overall, not that bad...light carbonation and medium light body...the sourness makes it hard to classify as a session beer, however.

O=If you like weiss beers, you may wish to try this. As for me, I am glad I tried it, but would not purchase it.

12 oz bottle poured into a MKE tulip.
6.5% ABV, 20 IBUs

A - Booyah rushes into the glass quietly despite a tall pour, settling to a deep golden to light amber color with nice clarity but a low faint ivory head. Moderate retention leaves little lacing on the glass.

S - Booyah's yeasty aroma quickly gives the impression of sludgy homebrew yeast settled to dormancy. A swirl captures some of the caramel and Munich-like malt sweetness that creates the backbone for this beer, a good distraction from the yeast scent while white pepper and lemongrass spiciness pull through the back end with a kiss of apricot fruitiness for a good finish.

T - Malt forward, Booyah explores dry biscuit, sweet caramel, and grainy pale malt all at once before shifting towards a more agreeable yeast flavor profile than what the aroma offers; more spice esters and fruit nuances than "yeast" flavor. These esters follow the nose with white pepper, clay, and lemongrass; an earthy mélange that pairs well with the notes of dried apricot and white grape skin.

M - Plenty of maltiness creates a bigger body for this saison, leading into a smooth feel and mildly dry finish with a small suggestion of noble hop bitterness on the back end.

O - Milwaukee's Booyah has an aroma that suggests average homebrew, something below par for what this brewery normally outputs, but the flavor and feel certainly manage to shift away from the straight yeast nose, resulting in a fine drinking beer with a body that's perfect for the cooler fall days.
