25 CL bottle, with a label that would never be allowed in the States."Consumer avant de" dating of 20 Nov 2009. Pours semi cloudy ripe apricot, minor off white head and almost respectable ringed lacing. Nose of ripe fruits apricot/apple. This is a moderately tart beer, sweet/sour thing going on, notes of apples, ripe fruits, pears. worth a try, quality aperitif. Enjoyed during family trip to France this summer.

A 375ml green bottle (half-champagne) with a BB of July 2012. I've been sitting on this for a while; picked up from a supermarket on a trip to Belgium in October 2010. Love the art nouveau decoration on the label. Hope it's still OK....

Poured into a straight pint glass (I don't have a flute). A clear orange-amber colour with medium carbonation and a hint of floating sediment. Forms a decent head of white foam that hangs around for a few minutes before dissipating. Aroma of dry peach with a distinctive mustiness and a sour twang. Slightly sweet, with hints of vinegar, brie and a fruity tartness.

Tastes of sweet peaches with a dry, musty finish. Notes of sugar, tart fruit, faint green apples and a hint of tangy vinegar. Quite dry upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is light and sharp, though a bit thin. Lightly astringent. Aftertaste of sweet & sour peach.

Lindemans is known for making very sweet commercial lambic (ie. not the good stuff). This isn't actually as sweet as some others that I've tried, but I'm not sure if that's simply due to age. It has a mildly oxidised mustiness that suggests it's been left a bit too long - but as it's a lambic it's hard to tell to what extent this may be the case. At any rate, it's OK but no masterpiece. Too sweet and one-dimensional; oude lambics blow this out of the water. Drinkable if taken on it's own terms. Try it once.

Pours amber with a small fading head.
Nose shows peach and confectionery with faint funky notes underneath.
Peach dominates as a flavour as well, with lots of sweetness almost hiding a faint acidity and horse blanket character. A little cloying.
Could use a fair bit more carbonation.

Lindemans Pecheresse, lambic; stylish label on the bottle.
Peachy.

37.5 cl bottle, both capped and corked.

Colour orange golden, thin but persistent head, nice lacing, nice carbonation.
Smell of yeast. Also good amount of peach, obviously.
Taste similar: sour sweet of peach. A bit sweeter than I expected.
Nice and easy drinkable, refreshing sour and sweet, with the right amount of carbonation.

Overall it's pretty good. Mainstream beer in this style. Not too demanding.

37.5 cl Green bottle, poured into a large 'Corsendonk' stemmed tulip glass.

Golden threat marmalade colour with a pure white head on top.

The lambic sour smell was there, but the peach sweetness was also there in equal measure, so you had a weird mix of vinegarous sourness and an incredible sickly sweetness from the fruit.

The sweetness in the taste was overpowering at first, sickly and coying. There was a souring towards the end of the aftertaste, but this is one sweet beer.

2.5% ABV, I'll not be having another, but glad i tried it.

Strong nose of peach syrup and oxalic acid. The palate is very sweet, syrup and food coloring as desired fishing comes into its industrial power. In fact, this is just another soda pop with very little alcohol in order to satisfy the less demanding throats.

This one is generally reserved for me fiancee, however I decided to sample it for the purpose of curiosity.

Pours like a ginger ale / soft drink. It tastes like Passiona the aussie soft drink (i.e. passionfruit). Also a little like a bellini cocktail. I can only detect a little honey. There is no hint of alcohol - at 2.5%. This is a cracking beverage for those who want to take it easy, or are not big beer drinkers.

The only real beer like feature of this one is rather nice head it produces. But it wasnt too bad, although not really sour enough to feel like a lambic.

A orange beer with a thin head that looks more like a lemonade.

Smell is sweet and has distinct peach notes.

Taste is sweet and syrupy. A strong peach taste that isn't overly artificial, but because of the sweetness, it tends to fake. This beer drinks like a lemonade. Very low bitterness. I expected to find a bit of funk, but it is not. Not too horrible though.

Poured from a 375 ml bottle into a Duvel Tulip. There's a bit of rust on the edges of the cap, let's hope everything's all right...

Appearance: Pours a nice, slightly hazy copper color with a bubbly one-finger head that recedes quickly.

Smell: As one might expect, smells very strongly of peaches. This reminds me of peach tea, that Southerners will be very familiar with (Although, judging from other reviews, there haven't been too many Southerners to try this brew). I really can't pick out anything else except sweet peaches. Smells good, though.

Taste: Tastes pretty mellow with some tart peaches coming out. As it warms up a bit, I'm starting to pick out some green apple. It's slightly sour, but agreeably so. Towards the end, however, it becomes far too sweet.

Mouthfeel: Highly carbonated and slightly creamy. Works very well with the style.

Drinkability: Well, at a measly 2.5% ABV, you could consume a lot of these, but I think the sweetness and sourness might just hold it back in this category. Still, it would be nice to have a couple of these on a hot summer day.

Overall, this is a pretty good beer, though it tastes very little like a beer. The peach is really, really dominant, and though it's not a particularly complex brew, it's still tasty, just a touch too sweet. I would definitely have this again if given the opportunity and would recommend it.

Best before Jun 2014, so probably 2011 or 2012 vintage, purchased in Belgium a year ago and carried it back here. Shared with rudzud.

POurs a very clear golden honey color with some floating particulates, soapy lacing too.

Nose is loaded with fresh peach, canned peaches, so much good peach, really surprising! Nice dank basement funk, not super funky but nice enough, light Brett funk almost cheesy notes, very faint touch of cork.

Taste holy shit sweeettt!!! I know their beers were sweet before, btu this nose didn't lead me to believe it would be sweet! This is like condensed apple syrup sweet, intense and candy like, Behind the crazy sweet sugar is a nice peach, canned peaches mostly layered in syrup, with flashes of fresh peach here and there. Little funk behind that, and a hint of cork, mild acidity too. FInish is like a layer of syrup over the tongue not going away, with a little tangy acidity onthe back end, and more canned peaches. It actaully gets quite nice behind the sweetness, and after a few sips my taste buds get used to it mostly.

Mouth is med bod and super syrupy, decent carb.

Overall it has so much good peach, canned and fresh, with a nice light funk, but that sweetness just layers of syrup, but behind that the peach is so good! Best beer from Lindemans I've ever had by far, just wish they didn't make them so friggen sweet!

kind of a good beer, peach is really present, but so artificial that it's really difficult to say if it's real peaches or just aromas... It didn't look nice, to fuzzy, the smell is great for a fruit beer, and the mouthfeel is quite OK, not special, just an average taste of a good fruit beer. Drinkability is quite good as it's served really cold.

Pours lively, much like champagne with a very thin white head which dissipates seconds after poured. A nice golden colour with a shade of orange and very clear.

What an amazing nose on this brew, possibly one of the best I've come across. Smells very rich and peachy. Fantastic, enough to make me salivate for a taste.

The smell is followed up by the exact taste. Predominately fresh ripe peaches. This sweetness is balanced by a nice tart finish.

A nice light feel to it with lots of carbonation. Intense feeling generated on the tongue by the sweetness and carbonation ending in a nice tart finish similar to green apple.

A very nice fruity lambic, one that would be fantastic to have on a hot day. Very refreshing and bursting with flavour.

Pours a lightly hazy pale yellow with a small white head. In the aroma, sugary, tart peach skin. In the taste, quite sugary and small tartness of peach skin. A small tart bite, but mainly smooth and medium to lighter bodied mouthfeel, with a small dry tart peach skin in the aftertaste. Kind of like a gummy peach ring, and it is line smell, taste, and aftertaste all the way through.
