This lambic pours as a golden color with a decent looking white head on it. There just a bit of haze in there once it's all in the glass. The smell of fermented apples are there along with a little bit of funk and some sweetness. The taste of the beer is decent in my opinion. I think that it's a pretty reasonable mix between sweet and sour. The mouthfeel is pretty light and can be drank pretty quickly. In my opinion this beer doesn't compete with Floris Apple from Belgium.

Very sour taste. Reminds me of a sour woodchuck. Definitely not as good as the Kriek or Frambois by Lindeman's. It is has a very sour taste, close to being overpowering.

Drank this in a pint glass. Color is rusty/hazy with sediments spinning about. There is a decent head that leaves a ring down the glass.

Pours a cloudy yellow-ish color with a white head. Aromas of green apple and cinnamon. In the taste, again green apple and cinnamon. A bitter, sweet and sour apple mouthfeel, with a dry green apple and spice aftertaste. Taste almost like apple cider, dryer than most Lindeman's, and not as sugary.

07/11/06- Purchased at Bevmo in Mountain View, CA.

Presentation- 750ml bottle, caped and corked. No freshness info found. It's a new release though, so I assume it's fairly fresh. Poured into my Lindemans flute.

Appearance- Nucelar glowing golden orange in color. 1/2 inch head with light streaks of lace left behind.

Smell- Smells, like apples....sour now and later apples, sour jolly rancher apples, sour blow pop apples and johnny appleseed. So, I'm assuming there is a bit of sugar in this one.

Taste- Yep, I'm glad I shared this bottle with a friend on my new beer Tuesday. Super sugary and thick apple flavor. Kind of like a cider, but with the candied flavor as well. There is another flavor as well, but I'll be damned if I can think what it was. Apple and more apple here.

Mouthfeel- Still tasting this stuff the next morning. Huge sugary mouth coating with a medium carbonation level.

Drinkability- Because of it's sugar content and extreme sweetness, I found this really hard to finish 12 oz or so. There is no way I would have been able to consume the whole bottle. No very highly drinkable, but could work as an afterdinner drink to share at a party with a dessert or something. About 6oz is enough for me.

Bottle courtesy of Bu11zeye: Poured a cloudy beige color lambic with an average bubbly head with good retention. Aroma of semi-sweet apple is dominating with some light tart and oak notes. Taste is also dominated by some apple notes (probably apple concentrate) and some light tart and oak notes. Full body with some average carbonation. I would have like more sourness and oak which would have brought more complexity and would have been a perfect match for the apple.

Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass.

A hazy slightly murky body, golden orange with a slight murky brown quality to it as well. There's a few light dark chunks of yeast and trub even with a slow pour. Head is not very large makes about a finger of creamy white, but stays around quite a bit. Retention is good with a nice puck and simple lacing, and a roaring small carbonation rising in the middle of the glass.

Nose is apple and juicy. More closely like box juice quality, and not cidery either. Slightly sweet but not large on the sweetness. Hints at green apple but not acetaldehyde stong. Faint dry ripping barley in the background slightly.

Palate is sweeter than the nose. Box juice apple and light wet feel. Comes out more red tasting than green from the nose. Slight pear sweetness on the finish a bit. Good coating in the front particularly on the teeth, with a slight toothpaste cleanliness.

Overall it's not that cidery but it's not quite beer either. It's alright, but considerably sweeter on the palate than on the nose.
