Enjoyed in a flute

A: pours a hazy goldenrod color with a few carbonation bubbles and a finger of pure white head with very fizzy large bubbles, dissipates rapidly, leaves a small amount of spotty lacing on the glass
S: very nice sour apple scent, reminds me specifically of the peel of a green apple as well as the old sour apple jolly ranchers i used to love
T: distinctly sour but not in the typical way from a lambic, more from the overall apple note, also has something that hits just momentarily in the back of the throat that reminds me of an old blanket
M: fizzy carbonation that hits quickly and disappears just as fast, smooth across the palate, leaves the mouth with a bit of a cloying feeling or stickiness on the back of the palate
O: a really delicious lambic, i enjoy it not necessarily more than their other lambics but rather just differently, the fruit notes are more up front and sour, its really delicious but one would have to be my limit on this one, delicious

Green bottle, nice and thick, pours a vibrant golden color, lots of tiny bubbles, sticks around, good lace. Aroma was pretty much jolly ranger apple candy. Not bad, enjoyable, definitely delivers on the apple promise.

Mild sour presence, adequate apple tartness, way over the top sweetening, I guess to make the sourness more palateable to people who drink lambics but don't want the sourness I guess. Not as sweet as the kriek or framboise, thankfully. Very reminiscient of an apple cider. If they would just take the flavor and aroma of New Glarus Apple Ale, but still keep the spontaneous fermentation here, but quit dumping a gripload of sugar into it, I think you'd have a very good beer.

Instead, the sweetness here really kills it for me, but thankfully, it isn't as bad as some of their others, but nowhere near as good as the gueuze.

355ml bottle poured into a 16oz tulip.

A - Pours with a frothy, slightly off-white head atop a amber-golden brew with moderate haziness. Decent head retention and some solid lacing that lasts for a while.

S - Piles of green apples, with tons of sweet and sour notes at the same time. Distinct Lindemans funk to it as well. Like many of Lindemans lambics, the aroma is almost completely comprised of the fruit focused on. I'm getting a hint of skunk to it as well, but overall this smells fruity, sweet, and inviting.

T - Starts off with a barrage of sweet green apple goodness, which then gives way to a more sour green apple notes, and eventually finishes with bready malt, mild funk, slight mustiness, and lingering tartness. Overall, it's not quite the green Jolly Rancher sugar bomb one might expect from this beer, and has a delicious balance of sweet, sour, and even musty.

M - Smooth, fine carbonation and a thicker body than one might expect here. Doesn't feel syrupy or cloying in any way, but a great feel overall.

D - Another fantastic Lindemans offering, but I wouldn't expect anything less from a brewery that's quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Definitely another one to revisit this summer on a nice hot day.
