Appearance: Lindemans Peche pours the pale pinkish orange of peach flesh, with a champagne-like bubbly head.
Smell: The aroma is of peaches, both tart and sweet. I can tell from the smell that a syrup or extract is added after fermentation, but it's pleasant nonetheless.
Taste: This tasted much sweeter when I had it previously. This time, tartness takes more of a front seat. The peach flavor doesn't exactly taste fresh, but I'm a sucker for that fruit anyway.
Mouthfeel: Peche has a thin-to-medium body and is slightly sticky. The beer seems to coat the tongue with a sweet residue.
Drinkability: My glass empties quickly, but more than a bottle of this would just be silly.
Notes: I'll admit it, I think all the Lindeman's fruit lambics are delicious. There are some I prefer over the Peche (Cassis, Framboise), but this one isn't my least favorite either (that would be the Pomme).
In regards to which of the Lindeman's fruit lineup you'll enjoy the most, it really just comes down to what fruit flavor you prefer. Or, as is the case with me, what mood you're in. I thought I was in a peach mood, but now I'm not sure I actually was. No matter, with summer fast approaching, I'm sure a peachy mood will soon strike me.
